1. Stockholm:
Stockholm is the capital and most populous urban area of Sweden as well as in Scandinavia. Stockholm is the cultural, media, political, and economic centre of Sweden. 975904 people live in the municipality approximately 1.6 million in the urban area and 2.4 million in the metropolitan area. The city stretches across fourteen islands into the Baltic Sea. Outside the city to the east, and along the coast, is the island chain of the Stockholm archipelago. The area has been settled since the Stone Age and was founded as a city in 1252 by Swedish statesman Birger Jarl. It is also the county seat of Stockholm County.
2. Gamla Stan (The Old Town):
Gamla Stan until 1980 officially Staden mellan broarna (The Town between the Bridges), is the old town of Stockholm, Sweden. Gamla stan consists primarily of the island Stadsholmen. Officially Gamla stan includes the surrounding islets Riddarholmen, Helgeandsholmen and Strömsborg. All of Gamla Stan and the adjacent island of Riddarholmen are like a living pedestrian-friendly museum full of sights, attractions, restaurants, cafés, bars, and places to shop.
3. Höga Kusten (High Coast):
The High Coast is a part of the coast of Sweden on the Gulf of Bothnia, in the Ångermanland province of northeast Sweden, centered in the area of the municipalities of Kramfors, Härnösand, and Örnsköldsvik. It is notable as an area for research on post-glacial rebound and eustacy, in which the land rises as the covering glaciers melt, a phenomenon first recognised and studied there. Since the last ice age, the land has risen 300 meters, which accounts for the region's unusually tall cliffs.
4. The Drottningholm Palace ( Drottningholms slott)
The Drottningholm Palace ( Drottningholms slott) is the private residence of the Swedish royal family. It is one of Sweden's Royal Palaces. It is located in Drottningholm. Built on the island Lovön in Ekerö Municipality of Stockholm County. It was originally built in the late 16th century and it served as a regular summer residence of the Swedish royal court for most of the 18th century. It is a private residence of the Swedish royal family and also the palace is a popular tourist attraction.
5. Abisko:
Abisko is a village in Sápmi (Lapland), in northern Sweden, roughly 250 km within the Arctic Circle, and near Abisko National Park, located 4 km west of the village. Sweden Walks: Örnsköldsvik
Örnsköldsvik is a city of appr 33000 citizens in Västernorrland, Northern Sweden. This was filmed in the morning, before the stores open, one day in July 2019.
WHY THE HIGH COAST IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN SWEDEN
Arriving with the train to Örnsköldsvik early in the morning just in time to start a full day of exploring. We visited the lighthouse in Skeppsmalen, saw the fermented herring production in Skagshamn, witnessed beautiful views over the Ö-vik bay and did the challenging hike up to Slåttdalsskrevan. Is i cold in the north of Sweden during summer? Well you usually need to wear a jacket. So the answer is yes. I also try to show you how it looks like in the high coast of Sweden and showing you the beautiful nature that this part of Sweden has to offer. This part of Sweden is also one of the top places to visit in Scandinavia.

The north of Sweden has AMAZING experiences to offer. Everything from dog sledding to viewing the Aurora Borealis, to quirky museums and awesome architecture. On my road trip north I experienced a lot of interesting things - but there were many things that I missed, or were canceled.
This is essentially my list of Top 10 Things That I Couldn't Show You From Lapland.

HÖGA KUSTENLEDEN - Hiking the High Coast Trail in Sweden | Backpacking | Örnsköldsvik
The High Coast Trail (translated Höga kustenleden) is one of Sweden's 12 Signature Trails. The 130 kilometers long High Coast Trail runs through the entire World Heritage Site named Höga Kusten, starting in Hornöberget in the south and ending in Örnsköldsvik in the north. We are backpacking this trail in the opposite direction, so we started in Övik and ended it in Hornöberget. The trail is divided into 13 sections that are a unique mix of coast and forest with exciting areas rich in flora and fauna along the way. Crossing multiple national parks like Skuleskogen with one of the highlights the Slattdalskrevan. We also did a detour, where we climbed the Skuleberget.

Without transfer - there have been direct flights from Hanover, Hahn, Munich and Stuttgart to destinations in Northern Sweden for 15 years now.

In the summer months the sun never seems to set. In winter it only shows 3-5 hours before darkness returns.

In Sweden, Batman used to be called Leather Cloth (= Läderlappen?). They simply translated the name into Swedish. With Tim Burton‘s first Batman film he also was called Batman here.
By the way, the huskies are only loud when standing. As soon as they start running they quiet down.
