Du haut de ses 32 étages, la tour Obélisque domine Épinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis) depuis cinquante ans. Mais jeudi 11 novembre, ses jours sont comptés en raison d’un risque d'effondrement des balcons, avec des conséquences en chaîne sur les appartements. Alors, la préfecture a ordonné l’évacuation de la façade sud, à la suite d’une décision judiciaire. Les habitants ont été contraints de déménager en cinq jours.

Selon Le Parisien, la dette de la copropriété s’élevait à 1,7 million d’euros en avril dernier.
