Sandos Playacar is not five stars! I will never stay at this Playa Del Carmen hotel again!
Sandos Playacar Beach Resort is 45 minutes from the Cancun airport. Playacar is an exclusive gated community one mile south of downtown Playa Del Carmen. The Playacar region in Playa Del Carmen has some of the best hotels, beaches, and vibes in the Riviera Maya region.
One of the most popular hotels in Playa Del Carmen, Sandos Playacar Beach Experience Resort is an all-Inclusive hotel in Playa del Carmen with both family and adult sections. Sandos Playacar is ideally located on a magnificent white sandy beach in the gated community of Playacar, within walking distance to downtown Playa and Fifth Avenue.
After this stay, I wish I would've stayed longer at Riu Palace Mexico, or switched to Riu Tequila, or at least tried Sandos Caracol.
But I chose Sandos Playacar because of all of these features:

Hawaii S10E2: Diamond Head Volcano Hike [????????♀️????????]
Hello fellow travellers.
Welcome back to our Hawaii season 10. Today we are exploring Diamond Head caldera.
Rumour has it that a new pedestrian tunnel will be opened to augment this narrow access shared dangerously between cars and people.
The Diamond Head hike is pretty light, suitable for all ages, but the heat and the lack of wind don't make it easy.
Like its equally renowned sibling, the Haiku or Stairway to Heaven hike, the Diamond Head trail was built by the military in ...1908. Reminiscent of that era we will traverse at some point artillery bunkers and observation decks.
As we go higher and higher the heat is taking a toll on the hikers; any stop for a spot of shade or a photo-op will be taken.
At this point, the race to the summit is rather a crawl; more stairs and tunnels are creating traffic jams.
This canyon of steep stairs will raise your pulse into the 3-digit BPM range. This is the moment you will regret the heavy breakfast and the extra gear in the backpack.
Another steep staircase, this time in a metal spiral form, will make you unease, by vibrating heavily at each step. At the end you will enter the artillery bunker. Getting outside will favour the small and fit.
And what a great view!
We are looking right now at the Diamond Head lighthouse, built in 1917, which is the Finish Line of the TransPac Yacht Race.
We made it to the top observation deck; crowded like hell, it is rewarding us with astonishing views of Waikiki and beyond.
On a clear day even the airport and Pearl Harbour can be seen from here.
It is now time to go down.
