Seychelles is a beautiful island off the east coast of Africa. It is a group of 115 islands. Indian nationals get a free Visa for 30 days, on arrival in Seychelles. Seychelles national carrier Air Seychelles operates a daily flight to Mumbai five times a week.
When to Visit?
This year-round destination is blessed with a warm, tropical climate, and the temperature ranges from 24°C to 32°C.
Things to Keep in Mind:
1. The local currency is Seychelles Rupees. 1 SCR = Approx. 5 INR (subject to change)
2. Most of their prices are in Euros owing to the large European population.
3. English and French are widely spoken.
4. It is one of the safest places to visit and the people and warm, friendly, and helpful.
5. You can take a ferry to get around from one island to the other. When in Mahe or Praslin, renting a car is a good idea, although you have an option for buses and taxis. In La Digue, you are better off renting a bicycle since the island is small enough to discover all the beautiful sights while cycling.
6. Taxis are very expensive and any trip will cost you at least 30-35 euros.
7. Airtel Sim cards can be bought at various outlets and local stores around the three main islands of Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue and the International Airport on arrival.
