How to Travel NEW ZEALAND BY RAIL | Retirement Travelers Train Journeys

In today's video, we share our experience traveling 3 New Zealand Trains, Northern Explorer, Coastal Pacific, and the Tranzalpine. We tell you what to do in New Zealand and how to travel through New Zealand by rail. Trains in New Zealand are a great way to move between Auckland, Wellington, Picton, Christchurch, and Greymouth. We will tell you how to book the tickets, the costs, and other details for our New Zealand rail and ferry adventure. Here is the link to purchasing tickets:

▶️ We started our channel to inspire and share our world travel lifestyle, adventures, and optimistic outlook on life with others. After completing a two-year journey in our Airstream to see all 50 states and 51 National Parks, we left to travel abroad. We have downsized our possessions and sold our home so that we can wander about with only the things in our backpacks.

We love living on the road, traveling each week to a new location. We plan to travel extensively to every part of the world. Ours is not a slow travel lifestyle but rather a vagabondish one. The goal is not to check a country off a list, but to experience it by meeting new people, seeing how others live, and making new friends. We believe in laughing, loving, and living our lives to the fullest.

We are working hard to build a beautiful website where you can get travel information about the places we have been. In addition, we post blog articles to help you travel better. Our channel is a way of augmenting that effort, so sometimes we post videos about how to travel or a vlog showing our lives on the road as we do an activity or an adventure. We also post Shorts, so check those out, too. We hope to entertain you, but most importantly, we want to inspire you and give you the confidence to plan your own adventure around the world.

We invite you to subscribe and comment. We also hope you follow the link to our website and sign up for our newsletter. It's a great way to keep up-to-date with our travels. ◀️

80 hrs from London to Istanbul by Sleeper Train

Start speaking a new language in 3 weeks with Babbel : Get up to 65% OFF your subscription : HERE:

Today I’m taking taking the train from London all the way to Istanbul. Crossing 9 countries along the way on a variety of different sleeper trains, high speed trains and down right awful trains! Join me as I travel in the fastest possible time by using only the method of rail to get from one side of the continent of Europe to the other. Starting in London St Pancras, I’ll catch the Eurostar to Paris Gare Du Nord. Next up due to a delay from my previously booked train, I’ll grab a TGV over to Zurich, Switzerland. From there it’s the Austian Nightjet over to Vienna. Thanks to several lucky scrapes, I’m able to grab a 1st class train over to Budapest and catch up with my original itinerary to continue on to Arad, Romania. From Arad I’ll take one Romania’s most luxurious sleeper train over to Bucharest in order to catch my final train over to Turkey. This will be a couchette and it’s fare to say it’s a little rough around the edges.

As always let me know what you think, and if you’d do the same - to travel across Europe by sleeper train. It’s certainly possible with a little patience and a lack of sleep aha.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF TRAVELING VIA RAIL | Economy Class From Quebec City To Montreal

If you are thinking of exploring Canada and you don't have a car, you got two options: plane or train! (I mean yes, there's buses, but I don't think you want to sit on a bus for 10+ hours) Thus I thought it was about time I checked out Canada's main passenger train system which is the VIA RAIL! I was able to get a very budget friendly ticket from Quebec City to Montreal in economy class and I definitely think it was a much better option than flying. So if you are thinking of traveling throughout Canada by train anytime soon, I hope you will find this video helpful!

*I highly recommend this travel health insurance because you don't have to pay out of pocket for your medical expenses and they have very reasonably priced long term plans. You can buy the packages for shorter trips as well, but they're especially fantastic for digital nomads and nomads who want regular health insurance when they are abroad. Is Dublin to Rosslare the most scenic Irish rail journey? Join me to find out!

Yet another InterCity Class 22000, but this time it is definitely not about the train. The line from Dublin to Greystones is rightly renowned as one of the prettiest in Ireland as the train skirts Dublin Bay and then hugs the Irish Sea. But actually pretty much ALL of the journey down to Rosslare Europort is beautiful. Once we swing away from the coast the countryside of County Wickow and County Wexford, with hills, rivers, estuaries and coastline, delivers what I think is the all-round most scenic ride I've ever had in Ireland.

Come and join me as I continue to explore the towns and rail routes of this beautiful country.

Departure: Dublin Connolly, Ireland
Destination: Rosslare Europort, Ireland
Distance: 166 km / 103 miles
Duration: 3 hrs 8 mins
Cost: Standard tickets only. Price depends on flexibility of the ticket
Adult single - Low (€7,49 / £6.40). SemiFlex (€12,75 / £10.95). FullFlex (€13,75 / £11.80)
Date of Travel: April 2023
Operator: Irish Rail / Iarnród Éireann
Motive power: Class 22000 diesel multiple unit. (Rotem, S Korea 2007-2012)

You’ll see the pros and cons of each option and even see how much you might have to pay for each option on Amtrak.

I’ll share what you get when you travel on Amtrak, no matter what kind of ticket you booked as well as what comes with each step “up” in price and accommodation level.

VIENTIANE TO VANG VIENG, LAOS ????| High Speed Train Laos China Railway. All You Need To Know!

Travel days in Laos can often be tiring and long due to poor road conditions and infrequent public transport options. So we jumped at the chance to experience the Laos China high speed railway from Vientiane to Vang Vieng. This train journey takes just over an hour and is super convenient when time is of the essence and you don’t want to be stuck in a hot and cramped minivan.
