???? Classic Straight Razor Wet Shave in Authentic 1960s Vintage Barbershop | Lewistown Montana
While we were in Montana we finally found a barbershop to film a wet shave! We stopped in the historic downtown of Lewistown and found Victory Barber Shop on Main Street.
The barbershop is owned by Wendy Crawford who is originally from Montana. She trained in Denver and has been working in the industry for 30 years.
While growing up Wendy's family moved from Montana to Colorado, and she visited Montana every year. Montana is the place she always wanted to come back to so nine years ago she returned, and she bought Victory Barber Shop.
This barbershop was originally opened in 1941 and Wendy bought the shop from the second owner. All the interior cabinets and countertop are from the 1960s making this barbershop an authentic vintage experience.

The second day of traveling Route 66 from southern California in my 1959 Cadillac with my traveling partner, Miguel Ordaz.
We visited with Angel Delgadillo at his barber shop in Seligman, Arizona.

The hardest thing to do for this episode was to reduce 1:15 in 24 minutes. Normally 1h15 of shooting would have given one or two minutes of video in this case it was impossible to do. I'm sorry, people do not usually like videos that last more than 10 minutes.
Angel Delgadillo is an important character of the current route 66 because when it was declassified in the 80's he did not sit idly by wondering what was going to be done. He helped found the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona which was to be imitated thereafter in all other state of Route 66. Angel was a great inspiration for the Pixar movie, Cars.
La chose la plus difficile à faire pour cet épisode aura été de réduire 1h15 en 24 minutes. Angel Delgadillo est un personnage important de l’actuel route 66 car lorsque celle-ci a été déclassifiées dans années 80 il n’est pas rester les bras croisés à se demander ce qu’on allait faire. Il a aidez a fondé la historic Route 66 Association of Arizona qui allait être imiter par la suite dans tous les autres état de la Route 66. Route 66 - Kingman to Williams & The Angel of Route 66
Day four of my 2021 summer trip up Route 66 on my Africa Twin Adventure Sport. I start in Kingman and ride into Williams, AZ. My first stop is the Kingman Route 66 Museum in Kingman’s old power station. From there I travel up 66 stopping at Giganticus Headicus before before entering Seligman to visit Angel Delgadillo’s barbershop.
Angel Delgadillo is the reason we still have Route 66. When I40 bypassed Seligman, he went through the state and campaigned to build nostalgia for the route. As a result, the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona was created. Other states saw the success of the communities on 66 had in Arizona and asked him for advice on how to do the same for their states, which he did. In Seligman, I had the opportunity to talk with his son in law and visit the barbershop. After that I went to The Snow Cap Drive-in, his brother’s hamburger stand next door and had a REALLY good burger and shake.
After leaving Seligman, I visited an old R66 bridge that has been bypassed and traveled through Ash Fork before finishing up in Williams, AZ.

We Met The Guardian ‘Angel’ Of Route 66 - Route 66 Quick Vlog From The Road Part 13
We’re still in Arizona and in part 13 we travel from Williams to Lake Havasu. Our first stop was in Seligman where we met Angel Delgadillo in his barber shop.
Angel is known as the mayor of the Mother Road and the guardian Angel of Route 66”
Angel was the main founder of the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona, established in 1987 to campaign for Historic Route 66 signage along the highway. He founded his little barber shop in Seligman in 1950.
There were lots of other cafes and Route 66 gift shops in Seligman including the Road Kill Cafe.
After Seligman it was onto Kingman and then through the Sitgreaves Pass to Oatman Arizona. Oatman is an old mining town and ‘wild burros’ still roam the streets.
Clark Gable and Carol Lombard honeymooned at the Oatman Hotel in1939.
After Oatman we took a slight detour off Route 66 to Lake Havasu City and the sight of London Bridge which was bizarre to see in the desert surroundings.
Next, we are off to Las Vegas

Route 66 -- Seligman, AZ
One of the high spots of the Route 66 trip Seligman, Arizona was once a railroad boomtown that shipped cattle to market, Seligman got another boost when Route 66 brought car-loads of tourists to town. But it received a double whammy when the interstate replaced Route 66 and the railroad closed its station. While Seligman hasnt bounced back to its glory days, buses full of tourists many from Europe and Japan have brought a level of prosperity back to town.
