Athens Beer Party: Olympiacos Stadium ????????
■ ATHENS, GREECE: With the last match of the season being played on their home turf of Piraeus, the fans of the 2020 league Champions Olympiacos gathered outside their stadium to watch the match on a giant screen and to celebrate like only Greek fanaticos can. Naturally this was something I had to experience as the the prospect of seeing thousands of fans as into their team as those I saw on Crete was an opportunity too big not to miss.
So I took a taxi and drove to the stadium. There the party was in full swing so there was only one thing to do to get into the zone; Alfa beer to the rescue!
$1000 Market Hunt Rhodes ????????
■ RHODES, GREECE: One of the best best preserved fortified medieval towns I've ever had the pleasure of visiting is located on the Greek island of Rhodes. An ancient marketplace which have been there since medieval days and possibly since the days of the Greek city states is still up and running today.
The market stretches for about a kilometre if you walk straight through it but if you decide to embark on a shopping side-quest in one of the many narrow alleyways of the Old Town you can add kilometres of shops to that total.
Obviously this was a market I was eager to make a shopping video in. My only dilemma was exactly which streets to go shopping in. I opted for staying on the main market street and for a simple challenge of spending 1000 Euros in the span of one hour.
People don't really bargain here as the price of most items are fixed but that suited me just fine as spending the equivalent of $1100 USD in an hour would be quite the challenge and lower prices wasn't exactly conducive to helping me succeed with said mission ????????

Inside Athens Trireme 480 B.C. ????????
■ ATHENS, GREECE: The most advanced weapon of the ancient world was the Trireme. It was these ships that helped the Greek city states, with Athens bringing the greatest number of ships to the table, to defeat Xerxes' Persian invasion fleet. Now these original ships, being 2500 years by now, are naturally long gone along with any blueprints or sketches of their exact construction.
What has however survived are written descriptions as well as stone carvings, one on the Parthenon itself, which Greece used to build a modern life-sized replica which is now open to visitors who wish to see this technological masterpiece of shipbuilding firsthand with their own eyes.

The Mosaic Maker ????????
■ NICOSIA, CYPRUS: I joined a group tour of Cyprus with Simon Wilson to investigate the incredible history of this mediterranean island. I expected the highlight of said tour to be the many mountain-top Venetian castles that still stand proud and strong along the coastline of Cyprus and Mr. Simon Wilson diving into the street food scene.
Whilst the one medieval fortress I visited was indeed impressive, and Simon nearly overdosed on McDonald's Street Big Mac menu, I ended up aborting the tour to set up an appointment with a woman I ran into that first day who told me she makes mosaics!
But does she really make them herself? Are there really artists that have kept this epic ancient craft which was the principal art form in the Byzantine empire alive? And can I order my very own custom mosaic of whatever motif I like?
I had a million questions and hence spent the next week figuring it all out. Here's how it went!

- Whilst the easiest way to order is to meet her in her shop on Cyprus, you can also contact her and see what can be done if you live in another country. I'd recommend getting a painting though as she's incredibly skilled in capturing the scenes of Greek mythology and other historical themes on a canvas. Plus paintings are easy to ship whereas Mosaics are near impossible to transport (unless you pick it up yourself).

There is so much history in Thessaloniki,it's pretty unbelievable. While in Greece, we usually started off with our favourite breakfast which consisted of Greek Yogurt, honey, granola and fruit. We use strawberries as that is a local fruit that is grown in Greece and it's very good. Thessaloniki is a very nice walking City so in this video you'll see us going from place to place by foot. It's very easy to walk just wear decent walking shoes. Some of the restaurants in Thessaloniki are absolutely amazing. We have a pizza restaurant that we tried in this video called pizza Posellis which was to die for. We also give directions to one of the best bakeries in Thessaloniki and how to get there. We ended the night on a free boat ride that takes you all through the front area of Thessaloniki and allows you to see a gorgeous sunset. This boat ride is free just buy a drink or two on the boat.
