You Should Visit Xitang Ancient Town When You Are In China 西塘古镇是不是太美丽了哦
I went to Xitang Ancient Water Town the other day for the first time in my long life, and no joke, it was really quite decent. Better than some of the other water towns in the Zhejiang/Jiangsu/Shanghai area... mainly because it wasn't too crowded and because of the nice covered walkways that none of the other water towns have. This place has over 1000 years of history and it is well lived in, even to this day. One great thing to do while you are there is to dress in Chinese Hanfu and take some cool photos like you are from another era. There is a poster and a QR code for you to scan inside this video if you would like a really killer deal, at only 60 rmb for Chinese Hanfu experience as well as other options, like museums or nightlife at the nice little bars around town. In this week’s episode I indulge my tastebuds with different traditional foods from around China. Starting off at an Inner Mongolia Skewer restaurant where we were given cool packs for our heads, and cans of Inner Mongolian air for our noses. Next we headed to QiqihaerBBQ near Jiashan station to eat BBQ from Heilongjiang Province. BBQ is one of my favourite things to eat in China, especially the cows tongue! Finally, after seeing tonnes of ‘waxberry’ drinks available in the city I was able to put a name to the face (fruit?) when a friend sent over two large punnets of Waxberries from Zhejiang Province.
Now that restaurants are back open in Shanghai I hope to make more China Food Vlogs, so let me know what you’d like to see next!

这一集中，我的味蕾极大程度被中国各地的传统美食所折服。本次美食之旅是从一家内蒙古烤串店开始的，由于夏日炎炎，还贴心地给我们准备了冷敷头贴以及一罐儿来自内蒙古呼伦贝尔的“原装空气”。然后，我们又仿佛置身于黑龙江齐齐哈尔，感受到了东北烤肉的魅力。烤串烤肉真的是我来到中国后最爱的食物，尤其是牛舌，前所未有的体验！灼灼炭火，滋滋作响的烤肉，配上生菜以及独具地方特色的大白梨。炎炎夏日，岂不快哉。最后还在酷暑之际，收到了朋友寄来的浙江台州杨梅，这也是在英国绝无仅有的美味。

Xian section Short family China Trip
We are the short family from Australia. In December 2016, we travelled 16 days in China. Our first stop was Xian, which is this video. We also visited Beijing, Nanjing, Jiashan (Xitang), Shanghai.
We flew into China with China Air. There was a stopover in Xian on the way to Beijing, so we added a few days to the stopover to see the Terracotta Warriors and China's first Capital city.
We really liked Xian. Great place to start the trip, not too many foreign Tourists, and a lot of history.
Travel -- Xitang Town
Xi Tang, a small and ancient town on the water, and Xi Tang is a famous town with thousands of years of history, lying in Jiashan County in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It dates back to the Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC-476 BC) and the Warring States Period (476 BC-221 BC). Entire town area is 83 square kilometers, and it have 62,000 people. But XiTang is not a bustling place, People in the town live ordinary, peaceful lives, The elderly play with their grandchildren on bridges and in lanes, and women wash vegetables and clothes in the rivers running beside their houses, The simple lifestyle and peaceful atmosphere may have died out in those now commercialized ancient towns, but they fill every lane in XiTang, XiTang is a place to experience a feeling of simplicity and leisure.
