????OUR HOTEL RECOMMENDATIONS IN EACH SPOT
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯
11. Santiago de Compostela. Hotel Pazo de Altamira is a lovely, modern hotel within a gorgeous old Galician stone building. And it’s right opposite the fabulous market!
10. Jerez de la Frontera. Definitely try and stay at the famous Hotel Casa Grande - a big old mansion with a gorgeous rooftop terrace for drinks -
9. Vera Valley. I would suggest staying in the village Valverde de la Vera and my pick is the cosy and rustic La Picota:
8. Cadaqués. I love Tramantua Hotel, a white-washed gem run by a husband and wife team… service is fantastic, and it’s right in the old city, plus near the beach:
7. Cáceres. We stayed at the budget but good Hotel Iberia Plaza Mayor with views of the square): If you want to stay IN the old city though, the Parador here is a 14th century palace - the full Caceres medieval dream!
6. Oviedo. Prices in Northern Spain are often cheaper, so you can happily get a great hotel here without spending a lot. Check out the excellent Barceló Oviedo Cervantes:
5. Zahara de los Atunes. Either go with Hotel Avenida Playa (simple, clean, and right off the beach - or the slightly more chic Hotel Doña Lola -
4. Las Alpujarras. Casa Rural la Fragua is a gorgeous little tucked away whitewashed apartment in Capileira (either stay here or in Pampaneira). This place is perfect for exploring the villages around the area.
3. El Rocío. I love Hotel La Malvasía with its old-world luxury, the fact it’s only a 5-minutes walk from the famous Santa María del Rocío church and they also have a terrace which is perfect for sunsets.
2. Mejorada del Campo.
Bus info: (take the bus from Conde de Casal). Don’t spend the night there. It’s a day trip. But my favourite Madrid hotels are below (in descending price order):
Pestana Plaza Mayor (right on Plaza Mayor and with a pool) -
Gran Hotel Inglés -
The Pavilions -
Vincci The Mint -
7 Islas -
1. Cádiz. Right in the old town, I love the wonderful Hotel Boutique Convento Cádiz, housed in a renovated 17th century monastery:

Tiny Tour | Vejer de la Frontera Spain | One of the most beautiful towns in Andalucía | 2021 Oct
On the day of filming this episode, we encountered Netflix shooting a TV Show called Las de la última fila in this town. Maybe you might recognize some actors in this episode. Feel free to let us know in the comments.
Vejer de la Frontera is a Spanish municipality located in the province of Cádiz (Andalucía). The core of the town stands on a 200-meter-high mountain, on the banks of the Barbate River and 8 kilometers from the coast.
Its walled historic center, which still preserves the castle and several significant churches, was declared a historic-artistic complex in 1976. Vejer is part of what is known as the 'Association of the Most Beautiful Towns in Spain'.
Vejer has been inhabited since the early Palaeolithic and was already fortified in the Bronze Age. Remains dating from the 7th century BC have been found from Tartessian and Roman times.
Nowadays, the population lives from agriculture (generally viticulture), from wild cattle (especially from the resurgence of the Retinta breed) and from the tourism that it usually receives in summer.

I Fell In LOVE With CADIZ, SPAIN (Why Does NO ONE Come Here?)
In this Cadiz, Spain Vlog, I take you with me as I explore my new favorite place in Spain, showing you what to do with 1 day in Cadiz, Spain. Before visiting Cadiz, Spain I didn’t know too much about this city as not many people I met during my travels have been to Cadiz, Spain before. But, oh man, did I fall in love with the magical city of Cadiz, from its old town center to the beautiful beaches and incredible architecture. I hope you enjoy my Cadiz Spain tour!
To start off my Cadiz Spain Vlog, I went to a beautiful cafe in Cadiz old town called El Cafe de Ana. After a delicious breakfast I walked to the Cadiz Central Market to experience local life in Cadiz, Spain and watch tons of people buy and sell fresh fish. Next on my Cadiz Spain Travel Vlog, I climbed to the top of Tavira Tower for incredible views over the city of Cadiz. The views from the top of Tavira Tower are absolutely spectacular. You have amazing views over the Cadiz old town and the beautiful blue water. Visiting the top of the Tavira Tower is definitely one of the best things to do in Cadiz, Spain.
Next up on my Cadiz Spain tour, I walked to Genoves Park, which is the main park in Cadiz. After roaming around the park, I walked to the Santa Catalina Castle, which is one of my favorite places I visited in my Cadiz Spain Vlog. Right next to the Santa Catalina Castle is the main city beach in Cadiz, Spain called La Caleta Beach, which is a must visit in Cadiz. I also tried to visit the Castle of San Sebastian but it was unfortunately closed during my time in Cadiz, but the walk to the castle was still gorgeous!
For lunch in my Cadiz, Spain Vlog, I went to a neighborhood called La Vina to get some delicious fresh fish for lunch. The La Vina neighborhood is a great place to walk around and enjoy the city of Cadiz. Next on my Cadiz Spain tour, I went to the famous Cadiz Cathedral, which is absolutely stunning and a must visit in Cadiz, Spain. After admiring the Cadiz Cathedral, I went to another one of Cadiz, Spain’s many beaches called La Playita / Playa de las Mujeres / Playa de Santa Maria Del Mar. This is a great place to both swim and surf, depending on the conditions!
I hope you enjoyed my Cadiz Spain Vlog and tour of Cadiz Spain! I still don’t understand why more people don’t visit Cadiz, Spain, because I fell in love with this city and I hope to go back soon!

1 Day in Jerez De La Frontera, An Underrated City in Andalucia, Spain!
Jerez de la Frontera - A city I had never even heard of until I saw it as a cheap flight destination recently!
Jerez is where sherry wine was born! It's a small city of under 250,000 in population, located between the better known cities of Cádiz and Seville. Also known for horses and flamenco.
Here's how we spent one leisurely day in Jerez:
1. Visit the central market
2. Wander around the streets
3. Quick look at the Cathedral
4. Visit the Alcázar, a former Moorish castle
5. The best part, check out a couple of local 'tabancos'! A 'tabanco' is unique to Jerez and is a bar that serves sherry straight from the barrel, along wiith delicious tapas!
Overall, we really enjoyed Jerez and would recommend it as an option for those who want a relaxed atmosphere, to eat well for less, and.. to drink a lot of sherry :)

Strolling in Jerez de la Frontera Old Town, Spain ????????
Inday's senses were immediately engulfed by a whirlwind of sights, sounds, and flavors. She found herself naturally drawn to the rich cultural tapestry of this enchanting Spanish gem.
As she strolled along the charming cobblestone streets, the warm Andalusian sun embraced her, casting a golden glow upon the whitewashed buildings adorned with colorful flower pots. Inday couldn't help but be captivated by the blend of Moorish and Spanish influences, which spoke of a layered history and a captivating story waiting to be discovered.
The air was alive with the passionate strumming of flamenco guitars that resonated from open windows and lively plazas.
