Geraldton is a coastal city in the Mid West region of the Australian state of Western Australia, 424 kilometers north of the state capital, Perth. At June 2018, Geraldton had an urban population of 37,648.
The Geraldton Visitor Centre is located at 246 Marine Terrace, formerly the original Railway Station. The historic building is an icon in Geraldton's West End and was originally built in 1878. It was the first railway station constructed on a Government line in Western Australia. Now more than 140 years on, the building’s heritage has been preserved through careful restoration and many elements from the original building feature in the Visitor Centre.

A Tourist's Guide to Geraldton, Western Australia
Part 2 of our Western Australia trip.
From Perth, we drive northwards towards the coastal town of Geraldton. On the way, we stop at the Pinnacles National Park.
In Geraldton (my home for a year as a 10-year-old in 1981), we see the sights.
Then we take a side-trip to the Hutt River Province, Australia's very own breakaway state. We say hello to the Royal Family (who also stamp our passports) and then head up to Kalbarri.

Kings Park - situated just a few minutes away from the central CBD - this is a magnificent sanctuary providing vast expands of rolling greens and natural bushland - you can easily spend a day here, have a stroll, picnic, discover the many plants the botanic garden has to offer - the park is absolutely free. How to get here, you can catch the free bus running regularly from the centre of the CBD. for further information visit
4. Cathedral Square - admire the beautiful St Georges Cathedral and the Treasury Building - you will also find the The Como Hotel here.
4. London Court - this is by far the most photographed lane way/arcade in Perth - for further information visit
5. Wolf Lane - walk the colourful and vibrant laneway- you will find shops, cafes and bars around here.
6. Shafto Lane - also popular among locals - you will find restaurants and bars here.
7. Perth Royal Hotel - Lunch - this is very popular amongst locals so bookings are essential - for further information visit
8. Murray Street Mall - for much needed shopping - you can also head to Hay Street Mall - which is by the London Court entry.

Hey everyone! Here are my top 10 cheap things to do in Geraldton, WA. They aren’t in any particular order of significance.
Geraldton is roughly 4.5 hours north of Perth. It is a gorgeous coastal city with plenty to do and see.
It's really easy to get around as well, most things are within walking distance but having a car sure does make it easier. It is a great road trip destination as there are many wonderful things to see along the way such as the Pinnacles. Enjoy! ^_^
