Santon Burn is a watercourse in the Isle of Man.
Santon Burn near Ballaglonney
Santon Burn flowing into the Irish Sea
This small river, or burn, has its origins in the waters of Eairy in the parish of Marown (Ordnance Survey Landranger SC296779) and enters the Irish Sea at Santon Gorge close to Cass-ny-Hawin Head, just south from the bay of Port Soderick and north of Ronaldsway Airport.
The course of Santon Burn runs between the pastoral mid-island village of St. Mark's, in the parish of Malew and later via Ballalonna Glen and Fairy Bridge. The Santon Burn never enters Santon, being a border to that parish. Salmon have been recorded as far up the burn as Ballalonna Bridge (The original Fairy Bridge). In Ballalonna Glen, there is a mill race which forms part of a 15th-century flour mill, now converted into a house. Downstream is the farm house, Arragon Moar, which has been converted into the home of Dr John Taylor, the inventor, horologist and founder of Strix.

IMR No. 4 Loch took the Friday Douglas to Port Erin mixed freight train, departing Douglas station at 10:25am. We first see the train, with Snaefell Mountain visible in the background, shortly after leaving Douglas approaching Oakhill before moving onto shots either side of Santon station. The train is then seen climbing away from Castletown, and pulling away from Colby (Colby shot from the 1pm Castletown to Port Erin goods) and finally departing Port St Mary station.
We mixed trains were ran as part of the Heritage Transport Festival, Year of the Railways 2023, celebrating 150 Years of the Isle of Man Steam Railway.

Douglas Station then under steam and a nice fast run at Port Soderick then arriving at Port soderick station, then departs then we go to Goorga woods for a fast pass under full steam and a slight incline makes this shot one of my favorites.
The ducks at Waterworks road hear the train coming as yet again unfull steam it make easy work of the incline..then running down hill into Santon Station then we see the train pass Santon Station non stop. Next wev see the train are at Ballasalla and depart, Then the train arrives at St Marys Port then departs. The next clips is the Pie and Mash late night train pass Castletown on its way to Prt Erin where the train departs and makes its way back to Douglas

IOMSR - No 13 - Keristal & Castletown - No 10 - Castletown - 23/10/15
No 13 Kissack runs along the cliff tops at Keristal with the 1350 train from Douglas to Port Erin on Friday 23rd October 2015. This is followed by pictures recorded at Castletown when No 10 GH Wood returns with the 1405 from Port Erin to Douglas and No 13 Kissack arrives with the 1350 from Douglas.
A turbo jet aircraft taking off from nearby Ronaldsway Airport accompanies the sound as Kissack resumes her journey to Port Erin.
