The BEST 3 days in Spokane, Washington! (Hiking, FOOD, rafting, & MORE!)
We are back in the lower 48 after spending 4 months in Alaska and Canada this summer and are so excited to visit a bunch of new places as we make our way south to Texas for the holidays. And first up: Spokane, Washington!
Located in the eastern part of Washington, Spokane is the second largest city in the state and in our opinion, is one of the state’s best kept secrets. With mountains, forests, lakes, waterfalls (including one RIGHT in town!), and rivers nearby, plus cute neighborhoods, tons of local eats, and unique sights, the city really has it all!
And we are so stoked to be partnering with @VisitSpokane to show y’all some of the BEST things to do in and around the city. We spent three days exploring town, hitting the trails, rafting, and enjoying delicious local coffee and food…it was an absolute blast!

We are in Spokane, Washington on a hunt for Benny and Joon Filming Locations. Spokane is the perfect setting for movie locations. Benny & Joon is a 1993 romantic comedy film released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer about how two eccentric individuals, Sam (Johnny Depp) and Juniper Joon (Mary Stuart Masterson), find each other and fall in love. Aidan Quinn also stars, and it was directed by Jeremiah S. Chechik.
The film is perhaps best known for Depp's humorous physical comedy routines (which are based on silent film comics Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, and Harold Lloyd) and for popularizing, in the United States, the song I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers.[2] Benny & Joon was shot primarily on location in Spokane, Washington
The famous Diner scenes were shot at Ferguson's Diner in Spokane. Ferguson's has had a lot of makeovers since shooting but the counter is the same counter. Plus there are Benny and Joon movie posters and memorabilia on the walls. When at Ferguson's you must get the Benny and Joon Milkshake. It is ice-cream, peanut butter, and Captain Crunch cereal, just like Joon use to make.
We also make sure to go to Spokane's famous Riverfront Park to see Johnny Depp's famous hat trick our Buster Keaton routine.
We also go see Benny and Joon's house, Benny's friends house and the psychiatric ward that Joon is taken to in the movies finally.

SPOKANE, WASHINGTON | A few things we LOVE about Spokane (fall edition🎃)
⏰Spokane is Washington’s second biggest city. Full of outdoor adventures, great food, and friendly people, Spokane shouldn’t be missed on your Washington road trip. We started our time in Spokane along the Spokane Riverfront seeing the Spokane Falls, famous Radio Flyer Wagon, before heading over to The Flying Goat for lunch for some of our favorite pizza in the country! After lunch we grabbed a huckleberry milkshake at the famous Mary Lou’s Milk Bottle and then headed up to Mount Spokane for a little hike and sunset at Mount Spokane. Our second day in Spokane started at Indaba Coffee before heading up to Green Bluff to visit some of Washington’s famous apple orchards and sample Pumpkin Donuts at High Country Orchard. We had a wonderful time exploring Spokane, Washington and highly recommend visiting this wonderful mid-size city if you ever find yourself in the area!
