Ilsan Lake Park is Located at Janghang-dong, Ilsan-gu district, Goyang city, Gyeonggi-do Province, South Korea. it was opened on 4 May 1996 with a total space of approximately 1,034,000 square metres (11,130,000 sq ft). It was constructed over a period of about 3 years (from Jan 1993 to Dec 1995).The lake's surface area is approximately 300,000 square metres (3,200,000 sq ft) and is reportedly the largest artificial lake in Asia.
The park was designed to provide natural-looking spaces for outdoor recreation in an urban area that is isolated from natural water and trees.

Ilsan New Town refers to a planned city surrounding Ilsandong-gu and Ilsanseo-gu of Goyang.
Ilsan is located northwest of Seoul. Like other satellite cities in the Seoul National Capital Area such as Bundang, Ilsan was planned in order to alleviate housing shortages in the city of Seoul. Ilsan has experienced phenomenal growth in the past 15 years, usually drawing in younger generations of upper middle-class and upper-class Koreans.

The INCHEON BRIDGE and SOUTH KOREA’s FLOWER FESTIVAL PLACE in GOYANG ILSAN GYEONGGIDO PROVINCE
The Goyang International Flower Festival (Korean: 고양 국제 꽃박람회; RR: Goyang Gukje Kkotbangamhoe) is one of the largest flower festivals in South Korea and takes place in the city of Goyang. It attracts many visitors annually. The festival is held in a metropolitan area and serves as a model for local culture festivals, in which some foreign flower farmers participate.[1][2]
During the festival, flower events and cultural performances are held, and visitors can buy flowers from all over the world, which helps promote the domestic flower industry.[3]
In 2015, the festival was held from 24 April to 10 May at Ilsan Lake Park. The 2015 festival was the largest to that date, consisting of 25 national pavilions, 120 companies from 35 countries, and 200 domestic companies. The exhibition occupied 150,000 square metres (1,600,000 sq ft); it was organized by the Goyang International Flower Foundation.[
