Nagano Travel Guide
A travel guide for visiting Nagano Japan. Highlights include: Getting to Nagano from Tokyo, Nagano Station, Zenkoji Temple, Cherry Blossoms, and the Snow Monkey Park. Nagano, now connected by a new Shinkansen line, is only a 90 minute trip from Tokyo Station. Although most people only know of Nagano as a former home to the winter Olympics, it is a great day trip from Tokyo, or over-night stay to visit the Nagano Snow Monkey Park.
While you are in Nagano, make sure to their some of their food specialties: Soba Noodles, Apples, and Miso Ice Cream. The third floor of JR Nagano Station has a great selection of local eateries.

Shinano-Omachi, a town with a culture nurtured amid a long history and resplendent nature.
Nestled in north-western Nagano prefecture, it is neighbored by Toyama prefecture to the West and the village of Hakuba to the North.
Surrounded by the 3,000 m high Northern Alps and the three lakes known as Nishina-sanko, the town provides a variety of activities where you can experience nature to its fullest.

Japanese Town You Must Visit | Takayama
This video shows some of the highlights of visiting Takayama in Gifu prefecture, Japan. We visited Japan in spring of 2019 and stayed in an Airbnb in the historic district of Takayama Japan for three nights. Compared to the busy cities of Kyoto and Tokyo, Takayama was quiet, much less crowded and rivals other historic cities with its impressive old Shinto shrines, Buddhist temples and beautiful surrounding mountainous nature.
