Welcome to our Lance 650 Truck Camper Walkthrough Tour! Here we not only hope to show you this cool slide-in camper, but to show you how we've made it our own as well. Anybody can look at a photo of an interior or exterior floor plan online, but what if two (possibly?) funny people showed you everything up close and personal? From the fact that it fits into the back of a pickup truck, takes up just one parking spot, can be loaded or unloaded in 15 minutes and you can take a massive poop in total privacy (screw you mosquitoes!), the 650 from @LanceCamperMFG is a great way to enjoy the outdoors. Even if you aren't familiar with these cabovers, give our overview a watch. It has ultimately made it possible for us to bring our beloved Yorkie Zeus on our epic road trips. Our camper was manufactured in 2021 and we bought it from Kramer’s Kampers in Zion, IL, a great RV dealer with whom we had a great experience.

DEMOUNTABLE Pickup Truck Camper by Tischer - Any good?
At Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2019 we take a look at a Tischer Trail 260S pick-up cabin. In theory a demountable truck camper offers the best of both worlds - the touring ease of a motorhome, with the ability to drop off the cabin when need be, and leave it on site. So why are they not more popular?
In this video we take a look at the Tischer Trail 260 and as well as a brief review of the interior, we look at how it is attached to the pickup truck; in this case, it's an Isuzu D-Max. You can also get them for the Nissan Navara, the VW Amarok, the Mercedes X-Class, the Ford Ranger, and the Toyota HiLux.

Lance 650 Truck Camper with Ford F150. This. maybe the best truck camper for 1/2 ton truck. This is our latest slide and truck. campers setup. We have had several through the years and have traveled all over the US and Canada with similar setups. Lance makes a great camper and this one is light enough for most half-ton trucks. You could put this on a ram1500, Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra and even a Toyota tundra.

On April 11th, Yoly and I traveled up to Columbia, TN to pick up our custom built Eureka truck camper. Ours had quite a few special options including 2 bi-directional Fantastic Fans, larger than standard side windows, slide to open cab-over windows, extra powerstrips, a custom made reclining couch base and a custom extended bed to accommodate an RV short queen mattress orientated for north/south sleeping. All these things added to the cost which still came in for less than $9K. The base price can be as low as $8K or less. We carefully weighed the truck unloaded on our way to pick up Nate and then weighed the truck with the camper at the same scale on the same day after topping off fuel each time. The camper weight as calculated from the Cat scale certificates was exactly 1220 lbs. This makes this truck camper the least expensive and most lightweight production truck camper on the planet :-)
Since there is no propane system, while traveling we will be running the compressor 110 volt fridge from a 1500 watt inverter that I will be installing . Our fridge will be a 2 door model with a larger than standard freezer. We will be adding a 24 inch LED flat screen and a PS4 and an adjustable dinette table large enough for our laptops etc. When hooked up to shore power or generator, we'll be cooking on an induction cooktop and on a Coleman camp stove otherwise. This slightly smaller than average camper will still have the essentials for camping comfort including a comfortable couch, entertainment center, beautiful views out large windows and blissful sleep on a 5 inch tri-fold memory foam mattress.
