St. Maarten is a popular Caribbean cruise destination. It attracts 2.5 million visitors every year including 2 million on cruises and a half million visitors to hotels and resorts.
The weather in this eastern Caribbean island is warm throughout the year. But it also has periods of high rainfall.
ST. MAARTEN WEATHER
St. Maarten is warm during the day all months of the year. But nighttime temperatures in winter often make the seawater chilly, even during the day.
The average daytime temperatures range from the low 80s Fahrenheit in the winter to the high 80s in the summer.
Some travel tips say that anytime is a good time to go there. It’s true for anyone on a Caribbean cruise who wants to escape northern winters. It’s not true during the fall months and heavier rains from the annual hurricane season.
The average rainfall reaches a low point of two inches a month in February and March. It reaches the highest point of the year with up to six inches a month from September through October during the annual hurricane season, according to the St. Maarten meteorology service.

St. Barth Day Trip from St. Maarten - [a Travel Vlog]
One of the great things about a visit to st. Maarten is that it's so easy to visit one of the neighboring islands, like St. Barth.
St. Barth, short for St. Barthelemy, is only 8 square miles and easy to explore by car or scooter. Hike to one of the two natural pools, shop luxury brands, discover the beaches, enjoy French and Creole cuisine, or look out for land turtles, which there are plenty of roaming the island.
We took the Great Bay Express ferry in the morning and were back by 7 in the evening. How would you spend a day in St. Barth?

You'll never run out of things to do in St Martin. St Martin or St Maarten beautiful beaches are wonderful for relaxing in the sand or playing in the waves. Home to busy resort beaches and secluded coves. Also known for fusion cuisine, vibrant nightlife and duty-free shops selling jewelry and liquor.
At once French and Dutch, lively and laid-back, graced with pretty beaches and rising to palm-studded hilltops, famed for its shopping and sweet guavaberry rums, seaside beach bars and casino-lead nightlife, there are many sides to little St. Martin.
One of the largest forts on the island, Louis was once the site of armed battles between the major European powers of the Caribbean, and today some rusting cannons can still be seen peppering the lookouts. But it’s the panoramas that really draw the crowds, sweeping out for 180-degrees across Marigot harbour and the hills above Bellevue, encompassing the deep-blue ocean and even the silhouette of Anguilla Island in the distance when the skies are clear.
Maho Beach is a beach on the Dutch side of the Caribbean island of Saint Martin, in the territory of Sint Maarten.
