During our stay in the Seychelles, we spent one week on the island of Praslin. We will look at our accommodation, take a car ride, go on a short trek, swim in the wonderful warm sea, see stingrays and fly a drone to see all the beauty from above.

Best of Praslin Island, Seychelles
Praslin, also called Île de Palme, is the second-largest island in the Seychelles. It’s well known for its unique vegetation, its beautiful beaches, and its crystal-clear water. Praslin's main attraction is the UNESCO World Heritage Vallee de Mai, the green heart of the island. It’s the largest intact forest of the endemic coco de mer palm, a giant prehistoric tree. The north-east and west coasts of the island are protected by coral reefs and boast long, sandy beaches. Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette often rank among the most beautiful beaches in the world. They are also good snorkeling spots.
We choose our accommodation in the less touristic part of the island, and it’s worth it. And one more recommendation: the car is a must on the island if you want to explore it.

Praslin este a doua cea mai mare insulă din arhipelagul Seychelles. Primul ei nume a fost “Insula Palmierilor”, datorită vegetaţiei luxuriante. Peste 320 de hectare sunt ocupate de Parcul Naţional Praslin, o adevărată comoară verde, ce adăposteşte o mulţime de plante şi vietăţi unice. Valle de Mai este considerata inima verde a insulei - este cea mai mare padure de palmieri Coco de Mer - un copac urias, preistoric, unic in acest loc. Dar insula este renumita si pentru plajele sale spectaculoase. Anse Lazio si Anse Georgette sunt considerate unele dintre cele mai frumoase plaje din lume. Sunt, de asemenea, si locuri bune pentru snorkeling. Trei zile am stat pe insula Praslin si am ales o cazare in partea mai putin turistica a insulei. Nu am regretat niciun moment. Am si o recomandare - masina este un must daca vrei sa ajungi in cat mai multe locuri de pe insula.

Seychelles | Praslin | Beaches [4k]
Praslin is the second largest of the three main islands of the Seychelles and has a lot of beautiful beaches - the two most famous and picturesque ones are Anse Lazio and Anse Gorgette.
Anse Lazio is located on the far north of the island and has white sand, clear turquoise water and picturesque palm trees and is just beautiful. You can easily find privacy and some shadow under the trees and go snorkeling near both ends of the beach.
Anse Gorgettte is located on the premises of the Constance Lemuria Hotel but if you don’t stay at the hotel you can visit with a free permit too. In any case you will have to walk about 15 minutes over a small hill to get there. The beach is untouched and there are no facilities there.
Snorkeling is great at the island too. We did it on Anse lazio and while we stayed at the Constance Lemuria on Anse Petit Kerlan.
If you need a break from the beaches there is Praslin National Park which is famous for the Coco de Mer palm tree. They grow only on the Seychelles and can get up to 200 years old.

Praslin ist die zweitgrößte der drei Hauptinseln der Seychellen und hat viele schöne Strände – die beiden berühmtesten und malerischsten sind Anse Lazio und Anse Gorgette.
Anse Lazio liegt ganz im Norden der Insel und ist mit weißem Sand, klarem türkisfarbenem Wasser und malerischen Palmen einfach wunderschön. Aufgrund der Länge des Strandes ist Privatsphäre und etwas Schatten unter den Palmen einfach zu finden bzw. es möglich an beiden Enden des Strandes schnorcheln zu gehen.
Anse Gorgettte befindet sich auf dem Gelände des Constance Lemuria Hotels, aber auch ohne Übernachtung im Hotel kann der Strand mit einer kostenlosen Genehmigung besucht werden. In jedem Fall bedeutet es aber einen ca. 15 minütigen Fußmarsch über einen kleinen Hügel, um dorthin zu gelangen. Der Strand ist unberührt und es gibt dort keine Einrichtungen.
Schnorcheln ist jedenfalls zu empfehlen. Wir haben es am Anse Lazio ausprobiert und während wir im Constance Lemuria übernachtet haben, am Anse Petit Kerlan.
Eine Pause von den Stränden kann man sich im Praslin-Nationalpark genönnen, welcher für die Coco de Mer-Palme berühmt ist. Sie wachsen nur auf den Seychellen und können bis zu 200 Jahre alt werden.

PRASLIN SEYCHELLEN –STRÄNDE IM PARADIES
Die Insel Praslin gehört zu den Seychellen. Die Seychellen sind ein Archipel aus 115 Granit- und Koralleninseln im Indischen Ozean. Die größten Inseln sind die Insel Mahé, die Insel Praslin und die Insel La Dique. Die drei Inseln liegen nicht weit auseinander und sind mit Fähren verbunden. Diese drei größten Inseln sind auch das Reiseziel vieler Touristen.
In diesem Video meiner Seychellen-Reihe stelle ich euch die zweitgrößte Insel der Seychellen vor. Praslin hat knapp 9.000 Einwohner. Neben den wunderschönen Stränden hat die Insel eine weitere Attraktion. Den Vallée de Mai Naturpark, ein UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe mit den berühmten Seychellenpalmen, an denen die Coco-de-Mer wachsen.
Auf Praslin befinden sich einige der schönsten Strände der Welt. Die Strände Anse Lazio und Anse Georgette haben einen weißen Sandstrand und sind eingefasst in die typischen Seychellen-Granitfelsen mit einem sensationellen Schnorchelrevier.
