From the futuristic sceneries of the glass skyscrapers of Almaty, former capital of Kazakhstan and the new Dubai of Central Asia, to the dreamy landscapes of Lake Issyk. From the Big Almaty lake, to Shymbulak, from Pik Talgar, the highest peak of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains, up to Charyn, a desert canyon of red rocks carved over the centuries from the rush of water during the ice age.

From the absolutely breathtaking canyons and pristine lakes of Southern Kazakhstan to the forever bustling city of Almaty and the futuristic capital city of Astana, Kazakhstan is truly a one-of-a-kind destination.

In this video, I'm traveling to Aktau, a city next to the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan. It's a real lost Soviet oasis in the middle of a hot desert. This town is filled with Soviet-era architecture and lots of other surprising things, which I'll show in this video :) I also went to see the breathtaking landscapes of Zhygylgan (fallen ground) - such a mysterious place! But the culture is very complicated and so unique because it is formed by mixing the former soviet union, nomadic tribes, and other Asian countries like China.
People are so friendly and many times we were talked to by local people(But they speak mostly in Russian so I regretted learning a little more)

Road Trip of a Lifetime - Lost in Kazakhstan
Following a month in China (no filiming as we were robbed and the video camera was stolen!) we cross into Kazakhstan for an awesome month of drinking beer & vodka and getting lost! We then continue North into Russia before starting the final drive west. The definite highlight is a three day break in an isolated dacha.
