A Rough Guide to Northern Cyprus
Crossing into Turkish-controlled Northern Cyprus feels like time travel – before the rise of jam-packed beaches, gut-wrenching prices and overcrowded landmarks. But crossing is the keyword, as Cyprus has been divided by the infamous demilitarized Green Line since 1974.
We sent our videographer Colt St. George to explore all the secret beaches, laid-back villages and serious adventure potential this off-beat Mediterranean enclave has to offer.

inside and on-board abandoned ship Edro 3 near coral bay sea caves Cyprus, I climbed up the make shift ladder hanging off the side of the ship and had a look about. it is a long video but well worth a watch if your into this type of thing ! I believe the ship was carrying plasterboard as its cargo.

This is a Photo - Montage of my Trip to Cyprus in 2015. At this moment in time Cyprus is a divided country with the only divided capital city in the world. The South is inhabited by the Greek-Cypriots and the North by the Turkish-Cypriots. The United Kingdom also has two sovereign bases on the island of Cyprus called Dhekalia and Akrotiri. The border area between the North and South is a no-go buffer zone mainly policed by UN forces.
Cyprus has three world heritage sites. The Mycenean Settlements of Phapos, The Prehistorical settlement of Choirokoitia and the painted churches of the Troodos mountains. Other places of interest are the historical sites at Nicosia, Famagusta, Larnaca and Limassol. At Kourion there is an old Roman settlement and the mega tourist area of Cyprus at Ayia Napa (more commonly known as Eye A Nipple). At Palm beach you can visit the ghost town of Marsa and the village of Pyla is the only place on the island of Cyprus where Greeks and Turks still live together as neighbours.
