Ever wanted to travel to South America, but was hesitant about going since you don't speak Spanish? Well #guyana might be your place then! Some of the best rum in the world is made here and the girl to guy ratio is like 5 to 1 so there definitely are some great things about this place. Obviously, there are some security issues, but just like everywhere else, if you know how to play the game, listen to locals, and keep your wits, you'll be just fine. I spent 5 days in the capital city of #Georgetownguyana and attended Carnival as well! I was there to bid on a project for the US Government but figured I would have some fun as well. #whereisguyana

Houtong, Taiwan???????? One of The Six Largest Cat Villages in The World (4K HDR)
Houtong (猴硐), Taiwan: A Purr-fect Paradise for Cat and Culture Lovers, Nestled in the lush valleys of New Taipei City (新北市), Houtong (猴硐) is a small village in Taiwan that has gained international fame as the Cat Village (貓村). Originally a coal mining town during the Japanese colonial era, Houtong's population dwindled as the industry declined. However, the village found a new lease on life through its unexpected inhabitants: cats.
The transformation of Houtong into a cat paradise began when a group of cat lovers started taking care of the stray cats in the area. They provided food and medical care, and soon, the population of healthy, happy cats exploded. Today, Houtong is home to over a hundred feline friends who roam freely, basking in the adoration of locals and tourists alike.
Visitors to Houtong can expect a unique experience. The village is dotted with cat-themed cafés, shops, and art installations, making it a delightful place for cat enthusiasts. Houtong is conveniently accessible by train, making it an easy day trip from Taipei (台北). The village has its own train station, Houtong Station (猴硐車站), which is a part of the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) network.
