10 Best place to visit in Zaprešić Croatia

x

Zaprešić

Zaprešić is a town in Hrvatsko zagorje, Zagreb County in Croatia, near Zagreb. It has a population of 19,644 inhabitants in the town proper, with 25,223 in the administrative area. The town's metropolitan area, which encompasses the seven neighboring municipalities, has a population of 54,640.

-------

Grad Zaprešić prostire se na 52,60 km2, gdje po popisu iz 2011. godine živi 25 223 stanovnika. Šire područje Zaprešića zauzima područje od 251,8 km2 a čini ga grad Zaprešić i sedam okolnih općina: Bistra, Brdovec, Dubravica, Jakovlje, Luka, Marija Gorica i Pušća.

Josipa, grobnica obitelji Jelačić, perivoj, voćnjak, stambene i gospodarske zgrade, povrtnjak, obradivo zemljište i park-šuma.

Discovering CASTLES in CROATIA! Castle day trips from Zagreb to the Karlovac County!

Learn more about our private tours throughout Croatia:

Today we explored a few different castles around the Karlovac region, not far from Zagreb.

We visited Ozalj, Novigrad na Dobri (Frankopan Grad plus the historical stone bridge not far away), and we also stopped in Dubovac (where we ate a delicious lunch in the most beautiful spot in the courtyard in the middle of the castle.

We really loved each of these places, which make great day trips from Zagreb because they're all only about an hour's drive.

The most stunning spots were at the top of the watch towers, where you can see for miles and miles into the distance.

We also visited the museum in Ozalj and learned all about the history of old town.

Croatia has more than 1.777  kilometers of coastline with 1244 large and some smaller islands that are home to some of the best beaches in Europe. Here is one of the best Croatian beaches:

➡️ ???????????????????????? ????????????
Zlatni Rat beach is a well-known public beach in the town of Bol on the Croatian island of Brac. It’s one of the most popular beaches in Croatia and it attracts more and more tourists every year.
➡️ ???????????????? ????????????????
Vela Rina Beach is a beautiful beach on the island of Drvenik Mali. It's located about 1 kilometer from the ferry port it is famous for its turquoise water and soft white sand. If you want to visit one of the best Croatian beaches, Vela Rina is the place you should be heading to.
➡️ ???????????????????????????? ????????????????????
Zuljana Beach is the most popular beach on the Pelješac peninsula in Croatia. You can easily access it by car over the new Pelješac bridge.
Zuljana Beach has a restaurant that serves fresh seafood and traditional Croatian dishes, as well as a small shop where you can buy souvenirs.
➡️ ???????????????????????????? ????????????????????
Sakarun is one of the most famous beaches in the Zadar region and Croatia’s absolute gem. It is situated on the northwest tip of Dugi Otok island which is last in the line of all Zadar’s islands.
➡️ ???????????????????????????? ????????????????????
Stiniva beach is the southernmost beach on Vis Island - the furthest inhabited island in Croatia. It is presumed that Stiniva used to be a cove which cap collapsed and now is one of the most popular beach in Croatia.
➡️ ????????????????????????????
Island Vis is a home of many beaches. Recently only accesible by boat is Smokova beach. About 100 meter long with white sand, clear sea and a shipwrek!
➡️ ???????????????????????? ???????????????????? ????????????????????
Another highlight and one of the best sandy beaches on the Croatian coast is the beautiful Velika Plaza, the main beach in Omis city. This great sandy beach has a length of about 700 meters and therefore offers enough space for everyone, even in the high season.

The tourist destination Sava-Sutla Valley, Croatian: Savsko-Sutlanska Dolina and Brigi include 3 municipalities: Brdovec, Marija Gorica, and Dubravica. The municipality of Brdovec is located in the western part of Zagreb County, in the border area with Slovenia. The parish of Brdovec is one of the oldest parishes in the Zagreb Archdiocese, founded in 1334. The seat of the parish in the past was located on a hill (hence the name) where the Chapel of St. Križa, which now belongs to the parish of Marija Gorica.

The municipality of Marija Gorica is located in the northwestern part of Zagreb County. It is predominantly a hilly area. A small lowland part of the municipality on the west side goes to the river Sutla, which also marks the borderline between Croatia and Slovenia. On the southeast side, it borders with the municipality of Brdovec, northeast with the municipality of Pušća, and on the north with the municipality of Dubravica. The municipality of Dubravica is located on the border with Krapina-Zagorje County and the Municipality of Kraljevec on Sutla, on the east with the Municipality of Luka and the town of Zaprešić, on the southeast with the Municipality of Pušća, on the south with the Municipality of Marija Gorica, and on the west Republic of Slovenia.

550,000 PEOPLE CELEBRATED HERE! | Zagreb Square & Cathedral | Croatia Travel Vlog

Croatia came 2nd in the football world cup and 550k people celebrated in Ban Jelačić square, Zagreb! Before the cathedral...⬇ Click 'Show More' ⬇ Learn to travel full-time:

While Zagreb was home to the football ceremony, and Ban Jelacic square was the end place, it does sound like it was 550,000 people in total came out for the drive from the airport... so sure, not all those people were crammed in here around the square but cool nonetheless.

Just up from the Ban Jelacic square is the Zagreb cathedral, which is the tallest building in Croatia. Inside the church is stunning, as you would expect, but I didnt want to film too much for this travel vlog. Partly because it feels a bit sacred, partly because people are in there having private time and praying. Regardless, if you visit Ban Jelacic square it's worth popping up and seeing the cathedral as well!

It's a shame we werent a few weeks earlier to be around Croatia during the World Cup, but to be in the square and imagine the ceremony was cool either way.

The Travel Project: Croatia - The Birth of a Music Destination

Whatever your musical jam, Croatia can offer it, with a side helping of magnificent waterfalls, impeccable national parks, thick pine tree forests, and ocean sailing.

But where did it all begin? After all, just ten years ago, Croatia was still pretty much unchartered territory for young travellers, let alone festival goers. The war had ended a few years before, but the country, its residents and the economy, were still finding their feet. The likes of Ultra, or Dimensions, were mere twinkles in the eyes of their founding fathers.

The birth of Croatia’s music scene comes down to one man, Nick Colgan, a club promoter and former manager of UB40, who hails from Birmingham, in the UK. After first visiting Croatia in 2003 on a family holiday, Nick, together with his wife Charlotte, opened The Garden Lounge in Zadar, in 2004.
