Yicheng City, a county-level city in Hubei Province, is under the administration of Xiangyang City. It is located in the northwestern part of Hubei Province, in the middle reaches of the Han River, with Suizhou County and Zaoyang City in the east, Nanzhang County in the west, Zhongxiang City in Jingmen City in the south, and Xiangzhou District and Xiangcheng District in the north. Yicheng covers an area of 2,115 square kilometers and has a pattern of three mountains, one water and six fields. It has 11 towns (offices), one provincial-level economic development zone and one Xiangyang municipal-level fine chemical park, and 224 villages (communities). According to the seventh census, as of November 1, 2020, Yicheng City had a resident population of 469,417.Yicheng, or Yicheng for short, is a national grain-producing county (city), an advanced city in basic education, an advanced city in culture, a model city in science and technology, an advanced city in civil affairs, and a sanitary city, a civilized city, a model city in double support and a safe county (city) in Hubei Province.
