Dinant (French pronunciation: [di.nɑ̃]) is a Walloon city and municipality located on the River Meuse, in the Belgian province of Namur. It lies 90 kilometres (56 mi) south-east of Brussels, 30 kilometres (19 mi) south-east of Charleroi and 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of Namur. Dinant is situated 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of the border with France.

De hele vaarroute van onze tocht door België:
Wij zijn Pieter en Marieke en sinds 2015 varen we met onze motorboot de Canicula door Nederland. Tijdens onze eerste vaartocht door Overijssel vallen we van de ene verbazing in de andere. Over de imposante bebouwing van Vollenhove, de massieve zeesluis van Blokzijl, het dijkdorp Kuinre. Geweldig! Inmiddels zijn we bijna heel Nederland door gevaren. Om iedereen te laten zien hoe mooi Nederland is vanaf het water, maken we video's van onze vaartochten en schrijven we artikelen over wat we allemaal tegenkomen onderweg. De Canicula is een St. Tropez cabincruiser van negen meter lang, tachtig centimeter diep en ruim twee meter hoog.

Dinant is positioned in the Upper Meuse valley
The name Dinant comes from the Celtic Divo-Nanto, meaning Sacred Valley or Divine Valley.
Its strategic location on the Meuse exposed Dinant to battle and pillage over the years.

D'abord une carte topographique du lieu, puis une vue aérienne du parc, Quelques photos anciennes, ensuite, s'ensuivent les endroits que tous reconnaitrons, de la taverne du Bocq, le café du parc, l'église, la place de la foire.
Vient les chemins qui nous emmènent vers le pays magnifique et merveilleux LA GAYOLLE. Passage sous la ligne de chemin de fer, ensuite direction les carrières pour prendre la route sinueuse, direction le parc. Après, c'est à vous de deviner, vous rappeler, vous souvenir. @+
