Der Herbst im schönen Siegerland | ARD Reisen

Im Herbst strahlen die faszinierenden Waldlandschaften im Siegerland in vielen herrlichen Farben. Vom Goldenen Oktober bis in den November hinein leuchten jetzt die Wälder: Anne Willmes wandert über den Rothaarsteig, einer der schönsten Wanderwege Deutschlands. Ein Teil des insgesamt 156 Kilometer langen Fernwanderwegs geht durch das Siegerland.

Das Siegerland – eine gute Autostunde südöstlich von Köln, im äußersten Zipfel Nordrhein-Westfalens. Der Kreis Siegen-Wittgenstein erstreckt sich über insgesamt 650 Quadratkilometer und beheimatet rund 300.000 Einwohner. Mit rund 70 Prozent üppigem Grün ist das Siegerland eines der waldreichsten Gebiete Deutschlands und lädt zu Spaziergängen, aber auch zu ausgedehnten Wanderungen ein. Der Rothaarsteig, einer der schönsten Fernwanderwege Europas, führt hier durch. Wer die 156 Kilometer nicht komplett laufen will, findet zahlreiche Abkürzungen und Rundwanderwege rechts und links des Steigs.

Aber nicht nur die weitläufigen Wälder locken Touristen ins Siegerland, auch architektonisch hat die Region viel zu bieten. Seit dem 17. Jahrhundert prägen die dunklen Streben der symmetrisch angeordneten Fachwerkhäuser das Panorama der Innenstadt von Freudenberg. Sie werden von Bewohnern als Alte Flecken bezeichnet, wobei der Flecken im Mittelalter eine Ansiedlung beschrieb. 86 schwarz-weiße Schmuckstücke bilden den alten Flecken von Freudenberg. Und der sah so schon ab dem 17. Jahrhundert aus. Der Ortskern brannte zweimal ab, zuletzt 1666. Dass Freudenberg heute so aussieht wie damals, geht auf den damaligen Landesherrn Fürst Johann Moritz von Nassau-Siegen zurück. Er befahl, die Stadt so wie vor dem Brand wieder aufzubauen. Der Stadtkern Freudenbergs ist nicht nur ein beliebtes Fotomotiv, sondern auch einer der baugeschichtlich bedeutendsten Stadtkerne Südwestfalens und als Baudenkmal international anerkannt.

German bridge crumbles next to functioning highway in controlled detonation

A highway bridge in northeast Germany was detonated on Sunday morning (February 6, 2022) in an exceptionally exciting operation.
This one was exceptionally exciting because the bridge is located in a bend and the upper parts consist of several parts. I'm just excited it worked out, said Ulrich Seibel after the demolition.
The controlled detonation had to be monitored closely to prevent damage to the new bridge which was built alongside the old one and has recently been inaugurated.
For safety reasons, the crowd of curious bystanders had to maintain a distance of 300 metres (984 feet), the area was temporarily sealed off and no traffic was allowed to cross the new bridge.
At exactly 10:58 local time (0958GMT), a small explosion went off to scare off birds, a countdown was initiated and two minutes later 120 kilograms (265 pounds) of explosives were ignited.
The bridge, measuring 485.5 metres (1593 feet) long and 71.9 metres (236 feet) high, collapsed cleanly according to plan.
Before detonation, higher parts of the bridge had been dismantled in order to better control the collapse. It was the first time ever a bridge of that height was detonated in Germany.

Onride-Video bei voller und ungebremster Fahrt auf der Sommerrodelbahn „Fichtenflitzer“ im Panorama Park Sauerland in Kirchhundem (Kreis Olpe). Die 1200 Meter lange Somerrodelbahn existiert bereits seit 1984, verläuft durch 4 Tunnel und verfügt über 13 Steilkurven. Durch Bremsen oder „Gas geben“ kann der Rodler seinen Fahrtstil und sein Tempo selbst bestimmen. Die Bahn des verläuft fast parallel zur Rhododendron-Allee und durch die Tunnel auch drunter her. Von dort haben Parkbesucher eine gute Sicht auf die Rodler, auch um Fotos zu machen. Von der Talstation, in der sich der Ein- und Ausstieg befindet, geht es alleine oder zu zweit mit dem Bob am Schlepplift 400 m nach oben. Der Bob wird dabei samt der Passagiere durch ein 350 Meter langes Liftersystem nach oben befördert und klinkt sich dort automatisch aus, bevor die Fahrt beginnt.

Die Nutzung ist ab einem Mindestalter von 10 Jahren und ab 3 Jahren in Begleitung eines Erwachsenen gestattet.

Onride video at full throttle of the Fichtenflitzer summer toboggan run in the Panorama Park Sauerland in Kirchhundem/Germany. The 1200 meter long Summer toboggan run has existed since 1984, runs through 4 tunnels and has 13 banked turns. By braking or accelerating, the tobogganist can determine his driving style and speed himself. The path of the runs almost parallel to the Rhododendron-Allee and through the tunnels underneath. From there, park visitors have a good view of the tobogganists, also for taking photos. From the valley station where the entry and exit is located, you can go up alone or in pairs with the bobsleigh at the drag lift 400 m up. The bobsleigh and the passengers are lifted upwards by a 350-meter-long lifter system and automatically disengage there before the ride begins.

Use is permitted from a minimum age of 10 years and from 3 years accompanied by an adult.

Panorama Park Sauerland - Wellenreiter (Wellen- & Wasserrutsche) - Onride & Offride [POV / 60 fps]

Offride & Onride-Video der „Wellenreiter“-Riesenrutsche im Panorama Park Sauerland in Kirchhundem (Kreis Olpe). Es handelt sich um eine 10 Meter hohe Wasser-Rutschanlage mit 4 getrennten, parallel laufenden Bahnen mit jeweils 65 Metern Länge, auf der bis zu 8 Personen gleichzeitig (2 Personen pro Boot) um die Wette rutschen können. Die Rutsche wird über eine Treppe bestiegen und das Boot vom Fahrgast auf die jeweilige Rutsche platziert. Nach der Fahrt werden die Boote von den Passagieren auf ein Rollband gelegt und über ein Förderband automatisch wieder für die nächsten Fahrgäste hinaufgezogen. Ein fast baugleiches Modell der Bahn ist mit dem „Gletscher-Rutscher“ im Belantis-Park in Leipzig zu finden.

Die Nutzung ist ab einem Mindestalter von 3 Jahren in Begleitung eines Erwachsenen und ab 8 Jahren auch ohne Begleitung erlaubt. Das Maximalgewicht pro Boot beträgt 150 kg.

Die Neuheit 2018 im Panorama-Park Sauerland wurde von Metallbau Emmeln hergestellt und ist die erste größere Fahr-Attraktion seit vielen Jahren. Ursprünglich gehörte der Wild- und Freizeitpark zur Gruppe Grévin & Cie und war ein Schwesterpark des FORT FUN Abenteuerland. 2008 wurde der Park von einem lokalen Unternehmer übernommen und hauptsächlich als Wildpark betrieben. Die größeren Fahrgeschäfte wurden daraufhin abgebaut und größtenteils auf andere Freizeitparks der Gruppe verteilt.

Offride & Onride video of the giant Wellenreiter (wave rider) slide in the Panorama Park Sauerland in Kirchhundem/Germany. It is a 10 meter high water slide system with 4 separate, parallel lanes, each 65 meters long, on which up to 8 people can slide at the same time (2 people per boat) to compete. The slide is climbed via stairs and the passenger places the boat on the respective slide. After the ride, the boats are placed on a conveyor belt by the passengers and automatically pulled up again for the next passengers via a conveyor belt. An almost identical model of the railway can be found with the “Glacier Slide” in Belantis Park in Leipzig.

Use is permitted from a minimum age of 3 years accompanied by an adult and from 8 years also unaccompanied. The maximum weight per boat is 150 kg.

The 2018 novelty in the Panorama-Park Sauerland was manufactured by Metallbau Emmeln and is the first major driving attraction in many years. The wildlife and leisure park originally belonged to the Grévin & Cie group and was a sister park to FORT FUN Adventure Land. In 2008 the park was taken over by a local entrepreneur and operated mainly as a wildlife park. The larger rides were then dismantled and largely distributed to other amusement parks in the group.

Zwei neue Brücken über der Sauerlandlinie

Bei Haiger wurden am Wochenende (19. bis 21. Juli 2019) zwei Brücken auf der Bundesstraße 54 über der A45 erneuert. Die Sauerlandlinie zwischen den Anschlussstellen Haiger/Burbach und Wilnsdorf wurde dafür voll gesperrt.
