O Capitólio Estadual do Kentucky é a sede do governo do estado do Kentucky. Localizado na capital, Frankfort, foi incluído no Registro Nacional de Lugares Históricos em 13 de abril de 1973.

Acompanhe o processo de destilação do Bourbon, faça uma passeio pelas instalações e aprecie as degustações após o tour, encerrando o dia com uma receita ou duas de coquetel.
8 – Mammoth Cave National Park
O mais extenso sistema de cavernas do mundo já catalogado, com 643 km explorados e mapeados, é um deserto subterrâneo. Faça uma excursão comandada por um guarda florestal pelas câmaras e labirintos de calcário; algumas trilhas são bem iluminadas e em outras os visitantes levam suas próprias lanternas (há também excursões “radicais” para áreas mais ocultas). Aviste morcegos, grilos e salamandras aos montes neste peculiar habitat.
9 – Cumberland Falls State Resort Park
Comumente chamada de a “Niágara do Sul”, esta queda d’água dentro do parque estadual, com seus 125 metros de altura, é embelezada por um “arco-íris lunar” ou arco-íris noturno, visível nas noites de lua cheia. Com quilômetros de trilhas, passeios a cavalo e locais de pesca e mineração à vontade, as cachoeiras oferecem inúmeras atividades. Faça um passeio de caiaque ou rafting no rio Cumberland, pegando uma das suas diversas rotas.
10 – BB Riverboats
O Belle of Cincinnati e o River Queen, uma reconstituição de dois barcos de Newport, navegam pelo rio Ohio e oferecem todas as formas de cruzeiro, de históricos a ocasionais, e com temática infantil.
