Hiking North Chagrin Reservation | Cleveland Metroparks | Willoughby Hills, OH
North Chagrin Reservation is the northeastern-most park in the Cleveland Metroparks Emerald Necklace. It boasts numerous trails that take hikers through a diverse array of environments. You'll find beautiful waterfalls, lakes, and streams, as well as marshes, forested valleys, and overlooks.
The park also offers recreational opportunities besides hiking. The paved all-purpose trail that connects the Cleveland Metroparks runs through North Chagrin Reservation, and is excellent for cycling. The park also has a golf course and an area for speeding in the winter months.
This video highlights several attractions that the park has to offer, such as Squire's Castle, Strawberry Lake, Lily Lagoon, and Buttermilk Falls. The hiking trails of North Chagrin Reservation range from easy to moderate, with little in the way of roots or rocks. The trails that traverse the valleys have moderately steep climbs on occasion, but they are short in duration.
