Check out all the places seen in this video:
A state of many contrasts, North Carolina is home to beaches, forests and mountains with conservative towns and liberal-leaning cities tucked away amidst them. With epic outdoor activities and communities to explore and, of course, old-time Southern charm; the Tar Heel State is a fascinating place to visit. While its shoreline is home to lots of barrier islands, the Piedmont region is made up of rolling hills and fertile farms. In the west are the beautiful Blue Ridge Moutains which boast the highest peaks east of the Mississippi. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in North Carolina:

Williams Arizona (Travel Guide) The Grand Canyon Railway & Route 66! Don't Miss This Charming Town

Relax and spend some time in the friendly town of Williams, Arizona. Take in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the sights of Route 66, the Grand Canyon Railway, Planes of Fame, the new Kadampa world peace temple, and an array of diners, restaurants and bars.

Williams is a great base from which to explore the surrounding region. the Grand Canyon is easily accessible by either car or, more romantically, by the iconic Grand Canyon Railway. Catch the morning Wild West gunfight before the train departs. if you're not catching the train then afterwards pop into the excellent cafe and gift shop at the station.

Williams was the last town on Route 66 to be bypassed by the Interstate. Happily this did not stop the town offering the passing traveller a variety of interesting shops in the historic downtown as well as a host of places to grab a bite.

Some Route 66 towns can look a little past their prime, but not Williams. There's still a buzzing community here and the town warrants an extended stay. I stayed at the Sheridan Inn. What can I say? Great rooms, faultless service and the most incredible breakfasts in the American West (probably!).

Where We Need Interstate Routes

Examining traffic corridors in the US that are inadequate to handle the traffic they carry. Many parts of the country that have seen a lot of population growth haven't seen their roads keep up. Here I take a look at several places in the US that would be much better served by having an interstate replace the existing state highway.

Exploring Spruces Park (Williamstown, MA)

J-MASS INSTAGRAM: @jmassofficial

Join me as I explore Spruces Park (formerly the Spruces) in Williamstown, Massachusetts! This was a site I had been curious about for quite some time, primarily due to the iconic white lion statues that guard the entrance of the park. Upon further investigation, I discovered that this park had once been a thriving mobile home community, which was destroyed by a flood in 2011 during Tropical Storm Irene.

It was fascinating seeing the remnants of the neighborhoods in this park, from the large plots of flat land meant for homes, to the roadways following a grid system meant for traffic. Spruces Park is also home to dozens of beautiful foliage, most of which was planted by the former residents. If you guys liked this video, make sure to stay tuned for more exploration videos all across New England!

The Abandoned Places of South Carolina

South Carolina has a long history of war and peace, boom and bust. That has left a lot of abandoned places throughout the state to explore. This video explores eleven of the more dramatic places, though there are many more. Included is a little bit of history about each place. Include are Old Sheldon Church, Pinckney Castle, Morris Island Lighthouse, Poinsett Bridge, and several others.
All clips are available for purchase for your own project at Pond5.
As usual, all music is by the very talented Kai Engel

Most clips were shot with an Autel Evo 2 Pro, though some were shot with an original DJI Mavic Pro or a Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k pro.

South Carolina: One Day in Greenville - Travel Vlog | Exploring Downtown - What to Do, See, and Eat

For state #17 in our journey to all 50 states in 2021, we found ourselves in South Carolina! We may be a little biased since it’s my (Matt’s) hometown, but we spent the day exploring one of the greatest hidden gems in the south... Greenville, SC! If you’ve never been, you’re missing out! It is the perfect mix of big city meets small town. With an abundance of local restaurants, artisan shops, and art galleries, the charm is undeniable. Then add in the award-winning Falls Park with its breathtaking Reedy River Falls and gravity-defying Liberty Bridge, and there’s no question to why Greenville gets ranked as one of the best small cities in America by Condé Nast year after year! We LOVED getting to show some of the many reasons that we love Greenville and hopefully encourage you to make a visit!

Pretty Place - Symmes Chapel - Outdoor Chapel with Stunning Views - YMCA Camp Greenville

Fred W. Symmes Chapel, also known as Pretty Place, is the spiritual center of Camp Greenville. Symmes Chapel was constructed in 1941 and is owned by the YMCA Camp Greenville.

Symmes Chapel is known as Pretty Place because of the breathtaking views. Pretty Place has become popular and can get crowded. I arrived around 9:45am on a weekday and by 10:30am there was a large crowd of people enjoying the view. Despite the crowd it was still a location of peace and serenity.

Pretty Place is located near Caesars Head State Park so this would be a great stop if you are visiting Caesars Head and/or Bald Rock Heritage Preserve.

Be sure to check the Pretty Place public visitation schedule before your visit to ensure Symmes Chapel will be open when you arrive! They are often closed for Private Events such as Weddings at Pretty Place. The note on their website says The chapel visitation schedule changes daily and sometimes hourly. We recommend checking the online visitation schedule the evening before or the morning of your visit to ensure it is open to the public. Even then, we can not guarantee that it will be available.

Massachusetts Route 7 to Williamstown MA | Driving Tour from Pittsfield [4K]

US 7 enters Massachusetts in the town of Sheffield and remains a two-lane road until Lenox. There, a four-lane bypass of Lenox was built in two pieces, and the old US 7 is now Route 7A. US 7 continues on as a four-lane road to Pittsfield, where it is then a three-lane road, narrowing to two lanes for a short time, then widening to four lanes in downtown Pittsfield. US 7 leaves downtown Pittsfield as a two-lane surface arterial and continues as a rural highway with occasional three-lane stretches for climbing the grades along with the Berkshires. It passes west of Mount Greylock before passing through Williamstown, connecting the Taconic Trail with the Mohawk Trail. The road passes Williams College before entering Vermont.

To Hell i must go the legend of the Michigan Lizzy Borden in Williamston, Michigan.

Travel with me as i explore the legend of the Lizzy Borden in Williamstone Michigan.
On a cool, spring day in 1897, Alfred Haney left his Williamston, Michigan home to earn a day's wage. He knew his wife's peculiar behavior had become more frequent, and he had planned on her seeing the town doctor, but she assured him she was feeling much better. They would go the following day instead. When he returned home later that day, he discovered a macabre murder so bizarre that it shook the entire community to its core. His mother's severed head was set on the dinner table, adorned with a knife and fork on either side. Lying nearby was the old woman's body, soaked in kerosene and set ablaze. Screaming, Alfred Haney ran from the house in search of the law, and while neighbors tried to extinguish the smoldering, beheaded corpse, Haney's wife, Martha, removed herself to the back yard and began digging wildly with her hands. Shortly after the discovery, a sheriff's deputy arrived, taking Martha into custody and lodging her in the local jail at the village hall. Ingham County Sheriff John Rehle, known as J. J. among his constituents, arrived by train and surveyed the carnage. He and his deputy discovered the murder weapon, an axe, hidden behind some boards under the rear stoop. Rehle organized a Coroner's Inquest that was held inside the house where the old woman's body lay. In an attempt to determine her state of mind at the time of the crime, local doctors interviewed the murderess. She told them she spoke frequently with her own dead mother, and her mother had told her to kill the old woman. Over the next several days, court hearings decided her ultimate fate. A panel of three doctors was commissioned to determine her sanity. In the end, there would be no prosecution. Deemed insane, she was sentenced to the Michigan Home for the Dangerous and Criminally Insane in Ionia. What made Martha Haney snap and behead her mother-in-law? Had she been insane from the beginning? Had domestic violence pervaded her short life.
