Old Town (Medieval) area of Esslingen am Neckar, Germany
Esslingen am Neckar in Germany has been pretty much thriving since around since the year 800. Because it was spared from much of the bombings of WWII, the old town area remained pretty much intact. Walking through here is really a step back in time, with parts of the old city wall and tower still standing. The whole area is full of beautiful half-timbered houses that Germany is known for. The Rossneckar-canal, part of the Neckar River, runs through the city, with many homes built right over it. Not to be missed if you ever visit Germany - hope you enjoy the video snippets we filmed and are enticed to consider coming here one day. Oasen ist ein sehr gut gelegener und geräumiger Wohnmobilstellplatz, der Dich zu einem angenehmen Aufenthalt auf Rømø einlädt. Der Platz verfügt über eine große Auswahl an geräumigen Stellplätzen für Wohnmobile unterschiedlicher Größe. Auch moderne Sanitäranlagen zur Verfügung.
Zu den Einrichtungen hier auf dem Platz gehören ein Stromanschluss für Wohnmobile, kostenloses WLAN und Ver- und Entsorgung für Reisemobile.

Esslingen am Neckar is a city in the Stuttgart Region of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany, seat of the District of Esslingen as well as the largest city in the district. Within Baden-Württemberg it is the 11th largest city.
It is located on the Neckar River, about 14 kilometres (9 miles) southeast of Stuttgart city center. The regions surrounding the city of Esslingen are also mostly developed.
Esslingen was a free imperial city for several centuries until it was annexed by Württemberg in 1802.
The German Timber-Frame Road passes through the city.
Prehistoric times
There is archaeological evidence that what is now the city of Esslingen was settled since the Neolithic period. Traces of human settlement found at the site of the city church date back to around 1000 B.C.
Roman times
In the 1st century AD the Esslingen region became part of the Roman Empire. During this period a Roman warehouse was located in the area of Oberesslingen. The nearest major Roman settlements and garrisons were at Cannstatt and Köngen.

The castle is located on the south-eastern outskirts of Seligenstadt, not far from the Main, west of Klein-Welzheim. It was built on the site of an older moated castle. The age of the predecessor castle cannot be specified precisely, it may be identical to a castrum that was documented in 1266 and was abandoned after the Seligenstadt Palatinate was built. The moat of the complex is said to go back to the older castle complex.[1] Another building on the same site is said to have been destroyed in the Thirty Years' War.
Ebnisee Kaisersbach Stausee Wochenendtrip Welzheimer Wald │one of the most beautiful lake in germany
#welzheim Der Ebnisee ist ein etwa 6,3 ha großer Stausee auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Kaisersbach im Baden-Württembergischen Rems-Murr-Kreis. Er wurde im 18. Jahrhundert als Schwellweiher für die Flößerei angelegt und dient heute vor allem der Naherholung.
Namensgeberin war die westlich des Sees liegende Ortschaft Ebni, die wie der See und sein Ufer zur Gemeinde Kaisersbach gehört. Fast bis ans südöstliche Seeufer erstreckt sich das Gebiet der Nachbarstadt Welzheim, ein dort nahe am See gelegener Wohnplatz heißt seit 1952 Ebnisee.
Nach dem See ist auch ein umgebendes Landschaftsschutzgebiet benannt.
Der Ebnisee liegt nordwestlich von Welzheim und etwa auf halber Luftlinie zwischen Althütte im Westen und Kaisersbach im Osten auf 470,6 m ü. NHN und am Nordrand des Vorderen Welzheimer Waldes, der naturräumlich betrachtet ein Teil des Schwäbischen Keuper-Lias-Landes ist, zum Murrhardter Wald im Nachbarnaturraum Schwäbisch-Fränkische Waldberge im Norden.[1] Er liegt ganz innerhalb der Kontur des Naturparks Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald, welcher sich hier weit über die Grenzen des ähnlich benannten Naturraum hinaus erstreckt.
Die oberste Wieslauf durchfließt den See und entwässert ihn nach Süden zur Rems. Sein Damm, über den die L 1020 läuft, staut den jungen Fluss auf. Der See ist im Durchschnitt 2 bis 3 m tief, fasst ein Stauvolumen von etwa 163.000 m³ und hat eine Uferlänge von etwa 1,5 km.

Mitten in den Wäldern zwischen Rudersberg und Welzheim befindet sich die Glasklinge und der Wasserfall Forellensprung.
Alle Standorte bei Google Maps findet Ihr wie immer auf unserer Homepage. Ich starte meine Tour beim Wanderparkplatz Steinenberg….
Nach etwa 2 Kilometern, mit leichten bis mittleren Steigungen, erreiche ich einen unauffälligen und schlecht beschilderten
Trampelpfad. Genau hier beginnt der etwa 80 Meter lange Abstieg zur Glasklinge. Gutes Schuhwerk ist hier dringend erforderlich.
Unten angekommen erwartet Euch eine Kulisse wie aus einem Herr der Ringe Film. Zahlreiche kleinere Wasserfälle und
beeindruckende Felsen machen diesen Ort zu einem kleinen Geheimtipp.
Nach einer kleinen Erfrischung am nahe gelegenen Brunnen kann es weitergehen in Richtung Forellensprung.
Vom Weg aus führt ein kleiner Trampelpfad bis direkt an den Rand des beeindruckenden Wasserfalls…….
Der Forellensprung hat seinen Namen aus alten Erzählungen in denen die Rede von Springenden Forellen ist
die den etwa 5 Meter hohen Wasserfall Stromaufwärts überwunden haben sollen. Tatsächlich wurde aber noch nie eine Forelle bei
diesem Manöver beobachtet…
Auch ohne die springenden Forellen ist der
Forellensprung wirklich einen Ausflug wert. Allerdings solltet Ihr gutes Schuhwerk tragen und den Abstieg zum Wasserfall, wenn überhaupt,
dann nur mit aüsserster Vorsicht wagen.
Ich entscheide mich dem Weg zu folgen und gemütlich wieder in Richtung Parkplatz zu fahren. Auf dem zweiten Teil der Strecke könnt Ihr
noch einen alten Steinbruch besichtigen und einfach nur die Stille der Natur genießen. Wir haben den gesamten Rundweg auf Komoot
für euch gespeichert. Die Strecke beträgt etwa 6 Kilometer. Mit Hilfe der App könnt Ihr sicher sein die Glasklinge und auch die Wasserfälle garantiert zu finden.
Fazit: Die Glasklinge und besonders der Forellensprung sind in jedem Fall einen Ausflug wert. Gerade weil die beiden Ausflugsziele nicht direkt mit dem Auto erreicht
werden können, ist es hier etwas ruhiger und nicht so überlaufen wie z.B. an den Hörschbachwasserfällen.
Also wenn Ihr mal in der Nähe seid, schaut unbedingt mal vorbei.
