Full flight from Wellesbourne Airfield (EGBW) to (ghost) Swansea Airport (EGFH) with recordings from the 'air traffic control'. Smooth flight with some nice landmarks on the way, partly flying above the clouds.

Swansea used to operate as commercial airport with all the facilities on site (as of December 2022) however due to different reasont it became a ghosty place with very little in situ. The airport itself consist of two runways and has a got massive potential for developement if handled properly. If you planning to visit bear in mind that unfortuneately there is not cafe on site at the moment.

So we decided to go to Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield instead. This turned out to be an excellent decision. We enjoyed a superb lunch and a great tour of Vulcan XM566.

The Avro Vulcan XH558 ~ The Spirit of Great Britain ~ The Vulcan XH558 Last great Display!

Come and watch the Avro Vulcan XH558 on her last great Display at the RIAT 2015
This air display was done at the RIAT Airshow 2015: Royal International Air Tattoo Airshow 2015. This airshow was held at the RAF Fairford, in Gloucestershire, right next to RAF Brize Norton.

The Avro Vulcan XH558, also known as The Spirit of Great Britain was the last of her kind to be used for air displays. She performed her last and final display at the RIAT 2015 and now she is based at Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield, where she will continue to be restored, and perform taxi runs.

You can see her sister The Avro Vulcan XM655 at Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield, where she is also maintained and restored to perform taxi and engine run-up checks over there.

If you love Flying, great challenges, Legendary Birds, you’ll be served!

Enjoy the video and please don’t forget to leave your comments!!
