Hi guys, hope you are doing well. Today I will be taking you to a waterfall in central province. Hunas Falls, which is situated in Elkaduwa, Matale, is one of the beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka.
First of all I don’t know why people are spelling it as ‘Hunas Falls’, because the actual pronunciation is ‘Hunnas Falls’, short for ‘Hunnasgiriya Waterfall’. Anyhow, I will also use the word ‘Hunas Falls’.
According to Wikipedia, the waterfall is 125ft high and created from a stream from Hunnasgiriya Peak.
As I have already mentioned, the Hunas Falls is situated in Elkaduwa Village. If you are coming from Kandy, there are about 25km and if you are coming from Matale, there are about 21km. Either way, you have to travel about 3km off the road to reach the waterfall. Refer below map for the exact location.
And the waterfall is situated on the way from Kandy to Sembuwatta Lake, an amazing place to visit.
You can go close to the waterfall by vehicles and from there you have to walk a little. There is a vehicle park at the entrance. And you will have to buy an Entrance ticket.

Hulugaga ella Waterfall | Sri Lanka | Vlogs with Madhushi
Hulugala Falls is an amazing waterfall in the Knuckles Range. There are two roads to get there: via Wattegama to Babarella and Theldeniya-Rangala road. I recommend using Wattegama road. Because there is a beautiful environment. Public transport is available from Wattegama or Kandy. At a distance of 32 km from Kandy, it takes 1 to 1.5 hours but the end of the journey is beautiful.
Its height is about 75 meters. After buying a ticket you can reach the waterfall. Then you can enjoy its coolness. Bathing is not recommended.

Wattegama is a small town near Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka.
It is an attempt to record the whole thing from the perspective of a dream. In dreams, one usually stands outside the scene or looks at the whole thing from above. - This small village is hardly noticed by tourists. It is fed by a stream from the nearby Hunnasgeria mountain peak. Apart from the main fall several streams can be seen during rainy seasons

Beautiful Huluganga Falls is a waterfall located at Huluganga Town, about 30 kilometers away from Kandy Town.
Situated at the border of Knuckles forest reserve, there's a small town called 'Madulkale'. It is a popular destination of many travelers who seek an undisputed experience of waterfalls. Since the town is situated very close to Knuckles, streams which are originated in the heart of the forest are flowing through this town.
Easiest way to reach this place is by starting from Katugastota. From there, path towards Wattegama should be taken through Madawala road. Just after passing Madawala town, right turn towards Bambarella is distinctly shown. Thereafter, it takes about 1 hr. (21km) to reach Madulkale town.
Huluganga Ella Falls (75m in height) is one of many waterfalls created by the stream originating from the Knuckles mountain range. The cascading water sprinkles the villages of Elliyadda and Aratthana, before flowing to the Victoria Reservoir. It is popular with both local and foreign visitors and villagers regard it as part of their Dumbara heritage.
There are lots of rocks on the river and even on the rainy days the water does not get muddy because of rocks, grass and plants. A dam had been built across the top of the fall under the Kundasale Water Supply Scheme.
