It is made up of both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom. It is mostly made up of farms and fields, with slow rivers, low mountains, and small patches of woods and bogs here and there.
Most people's first stop is Dublin, the capital of the Republic. It is known for its literary history and historical sites like Dublin Castle and Trinity College. After checking out Temple Bar's lively pubs and great places to eat, most people head to Cork and Galway because they have great food, great live music scenes, and beautiful scenery nearby.
Aside from the spooky historic centres of Killarney and Kilkenny and the dark attractions in Belfast related to both the Troubles and the Titanic, most people come to the island to see its beautiful countryside and beautiful natural spots. The famous Cliffs of Moher and Giant's Causeway are both amazing places to see, but so are the picture-perfect Dingle Bay, the striking Skellig Michael, and the haunting, barren landscapes of The Burren.
Ireland is also home to a lot of amazing ruins, castles, and monastic complexes. Glendalough, Newgrange, and Dun Aengus are some of the most impressive of these places. Both Blarney and Kilkenny have important castles with a lot of history, and Kylemore Abbey is a beautiful place to visit.

Top 10 Things to Do in CORK, Ireland
CORK, IRELAND - is the second largest city in Ireland, located in the south-west of Ireland, in the province of Munster. Following an extension to the city's boundary in 2019, its population is c. 210,000. The city centre is an island positioned between two channels of the River Lee which meet downstream at the eastern end of the city centre, where the quays and docks along the river lead outwards towards Lough Mahon and Cork Harbour, one of the largest natural harbours in the world. Originally a monastic settlement, Cork was expanded by Viking invaders around 915. Its charter was granted by Prince John in 1185. Cork city was once fully walled, and the remnants of the old medieval town centre can be found around South and North Main streets. The third largest city by population on the island of Ireland, the city's cognomen of the rebel city originates in its support for the Yorkist cause in the Wars of the Roses. Corkonians sometimes refer to the city as the real capital, a reference to its opposition to the Anglo-Irish Treaty in the Irish Civil War - wikipedia
