Things To Do Around Waikoloa Beach Resort, Big Island
For us, it's a staycation, for you, maybe it's a week having a great vacation in Waikoloa Resort on Hawaii Island! We stayed at the Waikoloa Resort Marriott for a night and made the most of 36 hours to show you the area!
A few things:
We like the Marriott, because it's ocean front with easy access to a sandy beach and the fish ponds make for great photo opps. You can get on a catamaran right from the front of the hotel. Also, unlike the Hilton, the parking lot is steps from the front door, the rooms and restaurant are close to the pool so you can get around the hotel within minutes.
The Kings Shops is right across the street from the Marriott! Not only great for shopping and restaurants, but they are planning more special events at the shopping center, so more to do while you are in the area!
Lava Lava Beach Club is an experience. It just is. So, you save your pennies and eat well on the beach and you may have to wait for a table, but you do..and watch sunset. It's worth it.
Mauna Kea Visitors Center is a great place to star gaze! Walk up the cinder cone across the street for a great view of the volcanic landscape and see sunset. Bring WARM CLOTHES no matter the time of year. The Milky Way is visible most of the time, but super intense at new moon. We got a voggy sky this past weekend..thanks Kilauea.

Welcome to our channel. In this video, we are going to talk about 10 Best Places to Visit in Hawaii.
So before starting, please like this video, and subscribe to our channel for future updates. Hawaii, the 50th state of the United States, is made up of eight islands in the Pacific Ocean. Hawaii is known for its white-sand beaches and hula dancing, but it also has a diverse range of activities and cultural experiences.
10. Oahu's North Shore.
Even though Oahu is the most visited of the Hawaiian Islands, most people head straight to Honolulu, the capital. The North Shore of the island is less crowded and has some genuinely spectacular beaches.
If you want to surf, you're probably well aware that the North Shore has some of the best winter waves in the world. Watch world-class surfers and even championship events at Banzai Pipeline.
9. Molokai.
The Hawaiian Islands have not all progressed at the same rate. Molokai is one of the state's least developed, yet most beautiful, islands. Molokai, often known as the Friendly Isle, has a fascinating history.
8. Hapuna Beach.
There are several beautiful beaches on Hawaii's Big Island, but Hapuna Beach is one of the greatest. The beach is part of a state park on the Kohala Coast, making it easily accessible from famous hotel locations such as Kona and Waikoloa.
7. Kaanapali Beach.
Kaanapali Beach is located on Maui's western coast, just outside of the tourist hotspot of Lahaina. From Black Rock to Canoe Beach, Kaanapali is lined with resorts and great stores and restaurants.
6. Na Pali Coast.
The iconic Na Pali Coast may be found on the island of Kauai, often known as the Garden Isle. Along the coast, towering cliffs clad in lush, green vegetation plunge to the sands of exclusive, secluded beaches. The landscape is unlike any other on the earth.
5. Lanikai Beach.
Lanikai Beach is the place to go if you're looking for a slice of heaven on Earth. Lanikai Beach, on Oahu's eastern shore, is only a 30-minute drive from downtown Honolulu. It does, however, feel like a separate universe.
Lanikai means Heavenly Sea in Hawaiian, and it's the perfect way to describe this half-mile stretch of stunning coastline. This is a beautiful spot to explore, with white sand, blue sea, and the occasional palm tree providing shade.
4. Haleakala National Park.
Haleakala is a shield volcano that makes up more than half of Maui's island. This summit, also known as the East Maui Volcano, reaches a height of more than 10,000 feet (3,000 meters) at its highest point. Haleakala National Park encompasses the area surrounding the volcano.
Much of the park is centered on the massive crater, which resembles a lunar landscape. Hiking is the most popular way to see the park, and the trail leading to the Ka Luu o Ka Oo cinder cone offers the greatest views.
3. Waimea Canyon.
Waimea Canyon is located just a few kilometers inland from Kauai's Na Pali Coast. Waimea Canyon, often known as the Pacific Grand Canyon, is one of the most magnificent destinations to visit in Hawaii. Waimea Canyon is comparable in size to the Grand Canyon, but with abundant flora among the desert-like scenery, it may be even more magnificent.
2. Honolulu.
Honolulu is a must-see destination for anybody visiting Hawaii. This is the island chain's largest metropolis, the state capital, and a vibrant, interesting location to visit. There are plenty of things to do in Waikiki, but it is frequently a highlight.
1. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
The Hawaii Volcanoes are one of the most important attractions on the Big Island. Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, and Mauna Loa, the world's most enormous shield volcano, are both parts of the park.
Visit the Kilauea Visitor Center to learn more about the volcano, which features an observation platform with excellent views of a big crater. Hopefully, you'll be able to experience the primeval strength of molten earth boiling into the sea.
