Camping David - Vipava valley, Slovenia
- Camping David is a brand new campsite set in the heart of the Vipava Valley. It is located in a beautiful natural environment right next to the village of Malovse where you can enjoy camping. The campsite is 10 km from Ajdovscina and 15 km from Nova Gorica. Location is also very suitable for transient guests, as it is only 1 km away from the highway.
The camping area at Camp David is well arranged in the shade of old oaks. It is equipped with modern sanitary facilities, which are heated and adapted for disabled people. In addition to the useful information at the reception, you will find there coffee, refreshments and ice cream. Fresh bread and bakery products are delivered to the camp daily.
The owners of the camp are Katja and David, enthusiastic recreational athletes, active researchers of local specialities, in love with a genuine life in touch with nature. As locals they know the most beautiful corners of the Vipava Valley, so they will be happy to advise you on your choice of activities and connect you with the best local guides.
Bicycles are recommended for exploring the surroundings, but you can also go on foot. The campsite offers bicycle rental, SUP surfing or kayaking trips along the Vipava River, and paragliding is available. In the Vipava Valley, it is almost a must stop at one of the local winemakers, where you can taste great Vipava wines and delicious home-made dishes.

Start New Trip - Slovenia / Italia / Austria - on a TransALP - 650 - S.3 Eps.28
Our first two days of the 10-day tour and 3120 km on a TransALP 650, through Slovenia - Italy - Austria in the first part of July 2022
Day 1 - Arad, Romania / Nagykanizsa, Hungary - 470km
We left Arad on Monday, July 4, 2022 around 11:00 O`clock. That's after two hours of paking luggage and four hours of sleep after the wedding on Sunday.
The whole day was hot, constant 35-37° celsius. We crossed Hungary on national and small roads. After 7 hours on the road and 470km we arrived at our accommodation Nyirfas Camping & Motel in Nagykanizsa. Here we paid 28 € / night for a simple but nice room.
Day 2 - Nyirfas Camping & Motel / Camp Podgrad Vransko - 200km
The next morning it greeted us with rain. We had to check out at 10 o'clock, but we stayed until 11 o'clock for the rain to stop.
At about 20km we stopped at a SPAR in Letenye to eat the breakfast. From there the rain stopped and we had good weather.
In the afternoon we arrived at our accommodation Camp Podgrad Vransko in Slovenia. Here we took for a night a very nice cottage at 42 € with tourist taxes included. The campsite is luxurious, impeccable. By far the most equipped and modern campsite I've stayed in. You can also stay in a tent, huts, apartment, campsite, everything you need.
In the evening it was raining and we slept well.

Camping Podgrad - Vransko - Slovenia
- Camping Podgrad Vransko is newly opened campsite located on the edge of town Vransko in Savinjska valley, that is well know for hops and beer.
Campsite Podgrad is modern smaller camping, opened all year long. It offers 12 arranged camping pitches (10 x 8 meters large), equipped with water and electricity. Pitches are arranged for campers and caravans, while for campers with tent they suggest pitches on a meadow that is arranged in vicinity of pond where you can bathe in summer.
Guests who do not have their own camping equipment, could sleep in nicely decorated wooden glamping hut for 2 persons.
Camping Podgrad Vransko has nice sanitary facilities with showers, toilets and places for washing the dishes. Additionally, there is camper supply station, grills, refrigerators and free access to wireless internet at the reception. Access to internet at the pitches is payable.
Location of new campsite is great for hiking and cycling around, only 500m away is museum of motobikes Grom, while museum of hops and beer fountain are in Zalec (cca 20 km away). A climbing wall is arranged in old quarry, while some good restaurants are located near by - Grof, Golobcek, Soferska mamica, where you can taste Slovenian traditional dishes.

Camping Tura - Vipava - Slovenia
- Campsite Tura is located in town Gradisce by Vipava and is less than 2km away from Vipava itself. Camp has found its place under natural climbing wall Gradiska tura, which gives you wonderful view across upper Vipava valley.
Guests will enjoy in peaceful environment and various sport activities.
Campsite offer 30 pitches for tents and 10 for campers. In camp you will find a coffee place, smaller shop, at the reception you will be able also to use computer with internet access. If you have your own computer, you will be happy to use free wireless internet.
Equipment in the camp is modern with warm water heated by solar cells, sewage system has its own Wastewater Treatment Plant. Sanitary block is well maintained and supply station for campers is arranged. Shower for dogs is also set.
For sport lovers backetball, beach volleyball, football and handball courts are arranged, two grassed tennis courts and also an artificial climbing wall. For children a playground is set.
Close to the camp guests can find various natural sights, such as spring of Vipava river, Abram farm, numerous nearby villages with wine and homemade food tasting.
