NYC Skate Dancer 1 (September 1999)
People of all colors converged in Central Park, NYC, joyous, in cheerful spirits. A late summer afternoon, young and old on skaters, pirouette, slide and swing with the music. One of the most beautiful moments in my life I could share. Happiness and love, deeply felt. Today, in times of the pandemia, social distancing and isolation, I watch these pictures with different eyes. People floating with the beats of music, cheerful and oblivious of all around the world, abandoned theirselves to the high spirits. They laugh, breath and sweat, they hug and touch each other. Free and lighthearted. The Power of Now. The virus sets the world on fire and the pictures seem to be surreal now, far away like from another time which I longingly wish back. God Save Us All.
