Tourists are attracted by the unique architecture and powerful energy of the Vladimir Cathedral. The history of the temple began in the 18th century with a small temporary church located in a private house, which was visited by the townspeople living in the area. There was not enough space for parishioners, and then in 1745 a small wooden church was built, the basis for which was the old chapel. The main temple is on the second floor. In 1760, a stone foundation was laid for a grandiose construction project. The temple is named after the Miraculous Icon of the Mother of God, according to legend, it was painted by Luke on the tabletop, at which the Savior and the Mother of God used to eat. This is a special temple, therefore Divine Services are conducted only by the Highest Spiritual Priests. The cathedral is also famous for its children's choir, whose singers are known far beyond the borders of Russia with their angelic voices. The history of the temple is connected with many famous parishioners. Pushkin's parents lived not far from the square where the temple is located, and often attended services. Alexander Sergeevich himself was often visiting relatives and went to the Liturgy at the Vladimir Church.

The name of the author of the Vladimir temple is still not exactly known. There is a version that it could be the Swiss architect Antonio Trezzini.

10 Tage in St. Petersburg - ein Reisevideo in 4K
Eigentlich wollten wir schon 2020 nach St. Petersburg fliegen.
Flüge und Hotel waren gebucht und bezahlt!
Dann kam dieser fiese kleine Virus und alles musste abgesagt werden.
Glücklicherweise konnten wir die Flüge verschieben und das Hotel war
auch bereit, unsere Buchung um 1 Jahr zu verlegen.
Also dann in 2021 los nach St. Petersburg, aber dann wurde Russland
zum Virus-Varianten-Gebiet und wieder alles unsicher.
Zu guter Letzt hat es dann doch geklappt und am 16.8.21 bestiegen wir dann
geimpft und PCR-getestet den Flieger.
Abschliessend kann man sagen, dass die russische Bevölkerung sich genauso
gut oder schlecht an die Maskenpflicht hält, wie die Leute hier in Deutschland.
So gut wie keine ausländischen Touristen machten uns das Leben einfacher,
kein Gedränge, keine Schlangen und freundliche Menschen.
Wir waren z. B. im Eremitage-Museum die erste deutsche Gruppe in diesem Jahr!
Mit Victoria hatten wir eine phantastische Reiseführerin, die mit ihrem Detailwissen und ihrem
freundlichen Wesen unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich machten!
Die Bilder können nur einen kleinen Eindruck verschaffen, es war äusserst
beeindruckend und alle Teilnehmer waren begeistert von dieser unglaublichen
Stadt.

In my first episode of my «FORMER CCCP REPUBLICS» travel vlog series I will show you around my my favourite city in the world. Together we will discover Saint-Petersburg’s most famous sights. Many tourists from Russia and the world consider the Northern capital as the beautifulest city in the country.
It’s really different to the other cities of Russia. St.-Petersburg is known for the incredible historic architecture, which is unique to the city and it’s filled with some of the world’s finest art.
Some sights to see:
A great place to visit is the State HERMITAGE museum located at the famous PALACE SQUARE and at the General Staff Building which has the longest facade in the world. The Hermitage that is inside the Winter Palace building houses artwork of the most prominent masters like Leonardo Da Vinci, Van Gogh and Rembrandt. Some people say if you spend one minute looking at every piece in the entire gallery it will take you 11 years to see all. The museum is just huge.
St. Petersburg has some of the beautifulest METRO stations in the world. The metro system consists of five lines with station which are protected by the UNESCO. The majority of Stations is below 30 meters in the ground. The deepest metro station in Russia is Admiralteyskaya. It goes 80 meters into the ground. It’s very affordable to use the metro systems in the city. The metro has no zones and it costs just 1$ for a ride. My favourite stations are Ploshad Vosstaniya, Kirovskiy Zavod and Avtovo.
The most iconic sight in the city is the Church of Savior on Spilled Blood. It’s often titled as fairy tail gingerbread house by foreigners. You should definitely visit the museum. The church houses some breathtaking mosaics.
If you want to have a traditional snack or just a cheap coffee you should check out the Pyshechnaya at Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street 25. It produces the famous St.-Petersburg doughnuts since soviet times (since 1958). The Pyshechnaya is a beloved place to eat among locals and tourists.

12-14 июля 2018 года мы совершили очередное Путешествие Выходного для в Поисках Души России – в город Суздаль!
В Суздале мы бывали уже раз 10 и будем приезжать сюда вновь и вновь… И Вам рекомендуем! И обязательно с ночевкой!
12 июля мы поздно вечером, сразу после работы, сели в поезд и отправились в город Владимир. Погуляли по ночному городу, от железнодорожного вокзала до «Золотых Ворот» - здесь у нас был забронирован номер в отеле!
Утром 13.07 – мы осмотрели основные достопримечательности города, сели на рейсовый автобус и поехали в деревушку Боголюбово, где располагается Свято-Боголюбский женский монастырь. Потом пешком по шикарному полю пошли в Церковь Покрова на Нерли. Обратно, не удержались от дополнительных расходов – прокатились на лошадке до железнодорожной станции.
Ну и в Суздаль – основную нашу цель поездки на эти дни! Суздаль всегда очарователен, но особенно я его люблю вечером, когда уезжают толпы туристов, спадает жара и можно побродить по древним улочкам… проводить Солнышко над стенами монастырей и речкой Каменка, послушать птиц и звон колоколов!
Утром мы пошли в Спасо-Евфимиев монастырь, чтобы послушать потрясающий колокольный звон – в моем фильме у Вас будет такая возможность! Очень рекомендую!
Суздаль с утра уже кипел и бурлил народом – что радовало! Все больше людей стали ездить по России – мы это замечаем! На Торговой Площади – было не протолкнуться! Огурцы, помидоры, мёд и медовуха, квас и мороженное, сувениры и вышивки – бойко шла торговля всем и вся! По дороге мы зашли во все Храмы и монастыри, промокли под внезапным теплым дождиком, попили медовухи и чаю с блинами. Удивило, что Кремль обнесли забором и продавали билет за проход… Если – на благое дело, то пусть!
Самое большое оживление было конечно в Музее деревянного зодчества и крестьянского быта – где был эпицентр Огуречного Праздника. Организаторы позаботились и о безопасности, и о том, чтобы всем было весело и интересно – и малым и старым!
И в конце нашего путешествия мы осуществили давнюю мечту – прокатились на мото-плоту по реке Каменка! Рекомендую всем – удовольствие на 5 баллов!
