Arad, Beautiful City in Western Romania
The border town of Arad, some 50km from the crossing into Hungary, lies astride the main road and has good transport connections in and out of Romania. Straddling the Mures River and occupying parts of both Crisana province and Banat, Arad traces its history back to the 11th century. There are not many traditional sights here, but the city is a convenient stopover on your first or last night in the country. Fans of late-18th, -19th- and early-20th-century architectural styles such as Baroque, neo-Classical and Secession/Art Nouveau and Art Deco will enjoy a stroll up the city’s long tree-lined central Revoluţiei Boulevard , running north–south.

Alexandru Ioan Cuza, or Alexandru Ioan I, also anglicised as Alexander John Cuza; 20 March 1820 – 15 May 1873) was the first domnitor (Ruler) of the Romanian Principalities through his double election as prince of Moldavia on 5 January 1859 and prince of Wallachia on 24 January 1859, which resulted in the unification of both states. He was a prominent figure of the Revolution of 1848 in Moldavia. Following his double election, he initiated a series of reforms that contributed to the modernization of Romanian society and of state structures.
As ruler of the Romanian Principalities, he supported a political and diplomatic activity for the recognition of the union of Moldavia and Wallachia by the suzerain Ottoman Empire and achieved constitutional and administrative unity between Moldavia and Wallachia in 1862, when the Romanian Principalities officially adopted the name Romanian United Principalities with a single capital at Bucharest, a single national assembly and a single government.
Alexandru's reform policies alienated a large coalition of conservatives and radical liberals, for the most part landowners and business owners. On 22 February 1866, he was forced to abdicate and leave the country.

We went to Romania for a concert that was supposed to be in the city of Cluj, where we also stayed. But it would be a shame to travel so much and not explore the surroundings, so we also went on a trip.
But few hours before the concert, we found out that it was canceled. It was cancelled few weeks ago, but the fake company was still selling tickets. So we lost money because the ground went down beneath it...
It ruined our mood quite a bit and disrupted the whole atmosphere of the trip, but there was nothing that could be done.
By visiting Dracula's famous castle Bran, I fulfilled one of my travel desires. In truth, I expected the castle to be bigger and the experience to be better. But it wasn't bad, the castle was nice, just the amount of torture tools and the thought of what went on there was absolutely horrible...
Since cats always find me and I find them, I had one restaurant companion at the beginning of the video, as you can see, and another under the castle :D Some roads were very good, while on others we were worried whether we would even cross them without breaking the car or hitting any animal.
On the way from Bran Castle back to Cluj, dogs were constantly running across the road right in front of our car, or cows blocked the road when they were going home from pasture to sleep :D
Out of everything we saw in Romania in those few days, I liked the unique Salina Turda salt cave the most.
Cluj made a mixed impression on us. There were a lot of buildings and roads that were in the process of being built and repaired, but they looked like they had been in the process for several years and unchanged. When leaving, as a bonus, I also filmed tasteful houses of locals, which we were literally amazed at and speechless... :D

World’s 2nd Largest Building - Bucharest Palace of the Parliament
Visit the World’s 2nd Largest Building - Bucharest Palace of the Parliament. The only administrative building which is larger is the Pentagon!
We catch the City Sightseeing Hop on / hop off bus tour directly to the palace of the parliament in Bucharest, Romania. Once there we take a tour through this massive building and cover only about 5% of the interior in roughly an hour. It is huge!
Be warned that you must like stairs if you take this guided tour, for there are so many stairs in the Palace of the Parliament. But it's worth it because this is definitely one of the best things to do in Bucharest.
My recommendation - don't miss the Palace of the Parliament tour if you are ever in Bucharest, Romania. It truly is a must-see attraction.

The Bridge of Lies (Romanian: Podul Minciunilor, German: Lügenbrücke) is a legendary pedestrian bridge located in the center of the Transylvanian city of Sibiu in central Romania. There are many legends surrounding the bridge because of its name. It is the first cast iron bridge built in Romania[1] and the second one built in Europe.[2]
Located in the Lesser Square of Sibiu, the bridge crosses Strada Ocnei to connect the Lesser Square to the Huet Square.
Legends
The Bridge of Lies has many legends surrounding it because of its name. The most popular one has it that the bridge will collapse when someone tells a lie while standing on it.[1] Another legend says that the bridge was often crossed by merchants who were trying to fool their clients. The ones who were caught were tossed off the bridge. According to another legend, the bridge was a meeting place for boys attending the military academy and their girlfriends. The boys wouldn't show up, leaving their girlfriends wait until realizing they have been lied to. One legend also has it that the bridge was often crossed by young lovers who swore each other eternal love. The girls also swore that they were virgin, which often turned out to be a lie after the couples got married. As a punishment, they were thrown off the bridge, since it was the place where they had lied to their lovers.[2]
Despite all the legends, its name has a different origin. The bridge was initially called Liegenbrücke, German for lying bridge (lying as in to lie down), which sounds very similar to Lügenbrücke, meaning bridge of lies. The legends have helped the latter spread among the city's people, which is how the bridge came to get its current name.
Design and architecture
The bridge is sustained by four arches made of cast iron. They are decorated with Neo-Gothic motives. On the southernmost arch stands the coat of arms of Sibiu, while on the northernmost one stand the inscriptions 1859 and Friedrichshütte respectively, the latter being the name of the foundry that delivered a part of the bridge's components.[3]
The rails are made out of eight panels with circular shapes and Gothic decorations.

The road is in good condition and the traffic relatively low, as most people would drive on the A1 between the 2 cities, so we had a great time driving in fall during a sunny day through this beautiful landscape, enjoy!
