Il Consorzio Orvietano recupera spazi destinati a trasformarsi in melanconici ruderi
E' stata inaugurata nell'area naturale protetta della Selva di Meana, al confine tra Umbria Lazio e Toscana grazie al lavoro della Cooperativa sociale Oasi, l'Hosteria di Villalba. Il complesso, inteso come osteria alla maniera antica, conta un ristorante con 70 posti, una struttura ricettiva con 3 appartamenti dotati di ogni comfort e 10 piazzole attrezzate per la sosta dei camper. Il progetto, studiato per offrire ospitalità al viandante, porta 10 nuovi posti di lavoro, anche per persone svantaggiate, in un'area inutilizzata.Vale davvero la pena fare un po’ di strada, inoltrarsi tra il verde delle macchie di specie quercine, oltrepassare la Baita di Villalba sempre gestita dal consorzio, e arrivare ad un nuovo spazio pubblico che rivede la luce. Il viaggio è ripagato da un’antica struttura rimessa a nuovo, il silenzioso respiro della piante, l’aria tersa e le vibrazioni positive della natura incontaminata. Una cucina tradizionale curata nei particolari e per chi si ferma di notte una memorabile esperienza di un cielo che si concede come al tempo degli etruschi (o dei tagliaboschi medievali), senza il fastidioso sfarfallio dell’inquinamento luminoso.
“Dopo anni di ristrutturazioni e investimenti -dice Andrea Tiberi Presidente Cooperativa sociale Oasi- riusciamo ad aprire quest'attività per la ricettività turistica. Abbiamo lavorato su un rudere recuperato dalla Comunità Montana, oggi Agenzia Forestale, cercando di offrire la nostra proposta per creare occupazione legata soprattutto alle persone svantaggiate e in un'area finora inutilizzata mettendo in campo un recupero a più livelli.
Questo è un territorio particolare in una posizione di confine fra 3 regioni, convergono e si intrecciano qua molte tradizioni, e abbiamo cercato di recuperare quello che questo territorio ha offerto nella storia anche da un punto di vista enogastronomico, e siamo attenti a selezionare i produttori, rigorosamente locali, che sono attenti alla tutela del lavoro e della qualità del prodotto”.
Così si completa la messa a punto del progetto che ha recuperato prima la Baita di Villalba, poi il Casale di Acquaviva e infine questo, conosciuto anche come Casale Casanova. Proprietà pubbliche destinate altrimenti a trasformarsi in melanconici ruderi. Grazie ad un combinato di risorse pubbliche e di risorse del Consorzio di Cooperative Sociali “Coeso”, oggi questo patrimonio “comune” torna ad essere animato. Tutto ciò porta nuova linfa alla progettazione di un diverso sviluppo del territorio che metta in moto le passioni e le energie del Terzo Settore, delle Cooperative Sociali e delle persone deboli le quali, unendosi, diventano forti. Un altro step fondamentale è chiedere alle comunità in cui queste esperienze nascono e si sviluppano di partecipare, di far proprio lo spirito del progetto e di amplificare l’idea per trasformare queste nuove risorse in un “bene comune”.
Negli ultimi in Italia sono sorte tutta una serie di cooperative la cui struttura ed organizzazione si basano sui principi cooperativi internazionali, ma con una vocazione diversa dai modelli cooperativi fin qui sviluppatisi, che cerca di ricucire il rapporto tra mutualità, solidarietà sociale e sussidiarietà alla base di ogni comunità civile e politica. Oggi si parla di cooperazione di comunità, che si ispira al principio di sostenibilità sociale ed ambientale ed ha come obiettivo la produzione di vantaggi a favore di una comunità territoriale ben definita.
“Questo è un ulteriore passo in avanti per la valorizzazione del nostro patrimonio ambientale, -afferma Sauro Basili Sindaco di Allerona-. Dobbiamo puntare su questo: sulla cultura, sul turismo ambientale, abbiamo infatti nel comune di Allerona 4000 ettari di boschi e dobbiamo metterli a frutto. Colgo l'occasione per ringraziare l'Agenzia Regionale della Forestazione che ha investito su questo immobile insieme al Consorzio Coeso e spero che questo sia uno dei primi passi perchè vogliamo continuare a cercare di valorizzare queste aree. Un altro appuntamento importante sarà quello della progettazione delle aree interne dove 20 comuni del comprensorio Orvietano fino a Città della Pieve, e dell'Amerino, che ci consentirà di mettere queste strutture a rete per raggiungere obbiettivi importanti.”

Exploring the city of Montepulciano, Italy! Best pizza so far, amazing views and Florentine steak!
Hey howdy hey! In today's video, we explore the city of Montepulciano, Italy! We walk up, and up, and up and up some more to finally get to the main plaza! We ate lunch in the plaza and had the most amazing pizza! After lunch, we were able to climb the tower and get some amazing views of the city and the countryside. Once we got back to the villa, our hosts treated us to an amazing presentation of meats with a special visit from the local butcher. They cooked the most delicious Florentine steak and authentic Italian sausage! Overall, it was a great day and an amazing way to spend my 4th full day in Italy!

Sciacca
Sciacca owes its origins to the Saracens, who settled there in the 9th century. The Arabs built the original walls and laid out the street grid, which was later expanded by the Normans. A royal city which had remained faithful to Manfred of Sicily during the Angevine invasion, 1268 it was besieged by Charles I of Anjou and surrendered the following year. After the Sicilian Vespers, it established itself as a free commune. During the Aragonese-Angevine wars it was besieged numerous times. In the following centuries the town was at the center of bloody feuds between rival baronial which nearly halved its population. In 1647 the impoverished town was the seat of an anti-Spanish rebellion.
