One of the great journeys in Europe is Italy by Train. With today’s high-speed trains, it is a quick and easy way to see Italy’s great cities, museums, masterpieces, and the amazing Italian countryside.
In this itinerary we’ll start in Milan, with day trips to Venice and Bellagio. Then off to Florence with a half day in Pisa. Then south, to the Positano on the Amalfi Coast for some beach time and relaxing in the sun, with a day trip to the Island of Capri. Circling back, we’ll head to Rome and then back to Milan to complete the route.

Southern Italy on a Motorcycle. Alberobello - Naples - Salerno - Amalfi Coast. EP 36
Italy was my last European country before I headed to the Middle East and then Africa. This time I only explored the South of Italy. Alberobello was like walking around in a fairy-tale, in Naples I had a service done on Chillie, in Salerno I witnessed the Le Luci d'Artista light show and installations and just before my departure on a ship to Israel I explored the legendary Amalfi Coast. There were lots of places to go and lots of people to meet during these 7 days!

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. Frecciarossa High Speed Rail Naples to Rome, Michael Lachance
We went to Pompeii via the Frecciaossa, Italy's high speed rail. We had the opportunity to take the local train, but after reading reviews, it is very crowded and hard to get a seat-mostly standing for an hour, no thanks. We opted for the Frecciaossa and, wow, a terrific ride south. Yes, we paid more, but it was worth it. If you visit Pompeii, be sure to go to Herculaneum; it's better preserved.
You can walk the cone of MT Vesuvius-book early and beware of the weather. Mudslides near the top will stop your trip. Sorrento is not far and is beautiful walking village with lemon foods and spirits as well as pink coral for jewelry. I bought a pink coral in a necklace--had it done for about $400. It was a beautiful piece. I watched the jeweler hone the stone and mold the gold around the coral to hold it, wow.
Video--be sure to do more than a minute. I made a mistake with videography by not taking longer footage or explaining it.

Torre Lupara is located just 3 minutes away from the A1 motorway exit of Capua and it also operates as Fattoria Didattica offering the opportunity for tourists to be guided on a tour that shows and illustrates one of the most important chains of our territory: agriculture, buffalo and mozzarella PDO (Protected Designation of Origin).
Torre Lupara is a small quarter of Pastorano village, where the Iemma family, originally from Salerno, moved their buffalo company in 1945. Since then, they created a reality, which is now present on the territory as a closed and controlled short chain: agricultural and zootechnical firms produce forage crops for buffalo and the industrial dairy transforms their milk into buffalo mozzarella.
The agriculture and animal husbandry of Iemma group pay particular attention to:
the quality and preservation of the forage produced in their farms,
animal welfare by providing buffaloes parklands and swimming pools,
the herd's health with veterinary and zootechnical daily tests.
The mechanized milking rooms and the data collected since 1950 are extremely useful for the research and for buffalo genealogy of the milk buffalo.
Casearia Lupara's dairy farm exclusively works fresh buffalo milk from the PDO area. The quality of their product is guaranteed by over 4000 annual checks carried out by national and international governmental agencies as well as in-house laboratory analyzes.

-degusterai la mozzarella di bufala d.o.p. e altri prodotti bufalini come il gelato fatto con latte di bufala
Torre Lupara è una piccola contrada del paesino di Pastorano, dove dal 1945, la famiglia Iemma, originaria del salernitano, trasferì la propria azienda bufalina e diede vita ad una realtà che oggi si traduce in una filiera corta chiusa e controllata che parte dalla terra (200 ettari), dove si coltiva il foraggio per le bufale allevate, e si chiude nel caseificio, dove il latte viene trasformato in mozzarella di bufala distribuita anche in paesi oltre oceano.
La nostra impresa però è un insieme di realtà:
le villette (con orto e scuola bus) date gratis alle famiglie dei nostri collaboratori,
le bufale che vivono in parchi in terra e piscine dove fare il bagno,
la terra coltivata, curata e concimata con gli scarti zootecnici che diventano riciclo e ricchezza,
l’opificio industriale dove si lavora in sinergia tra le tradizioni casearie e i nuovissimi macchinari, consentendo uno standard del prodotto esportabile in tutto il mondo,
… tutto ciò ci offre lo spunto per presentare la terra che ci ospita (Terra Felix), i mestieri che il nostro territorio può offrire, cosa significa lasciare nel mondo un’impronta ambientale leggera e soprattutto vorremmo far arrivare il messaggio che il lavoro, l’impegno e il sacrificio gratificano l’uomo che però non deve dimenticare di essere felice e far felice. Firenze Castello-Le Piagge
La nuova linea che sostituisce la Empoli - Firenze Porta a Prato, trasformata in Empoli- Firenze Castello, in vista dei lavori del recupero dell'area della Leopolda e dei futuri cantieri della tranvia T4. Vantaggi e svantaggi di questo cambiamento che fanno luce sull'assurdo sotto utilizzo delle linee ferroviarie che attraversano Firenze, che potrebbero essere delle veloci ed efficaci S-Bahn come in Germania. Ora da Firenze Castello si può arrivare anche a San Donnino in poco più di dieci minuti, con questa linea, per godere dell'altra sponda dell'Arno e i parchi verso Lastra a Signa. Con le S-Bahn, si potrebbe cosi attraversare la città senza intralciare il traffico come fa in parte la tranvia. Pensate: da Firenze Castello alle Piagge in solo 8 minuti, in auto ci vogliono 25 minuti, con i mezzi pubblici 40. Quando finalmente sarà realizzata la nuova stazione dell'Alta Velocità a Firenze, tutti questi binari saranno liberi per potenziare al massimo il trasporto regionale. Ovviamente gli eco nazisti del NO, non vogliono la nuova stazione: più cool lamentarsi del traffico.
