Ranganayaka Sagar reservoir another milestone in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. Ranganayaka Sagar caters to the water requirements of Siddipet and Sircilla Assembly constituencies, was inaugurated by Telangana ministers KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao on 24-04-2020. Ranganayaka Sagar reservoir is located near Chandlapur village of Chinnakodur Mandal of Siddipet district.
Reservoir’s bund will span a length of 8.65 km and will stand 32.4 meters tall at its highest point. While the bund will be six meters wide, at the ground level, it will be 196 meters wide, with a capacity of 3tmcft, this project seeks to irrigate 1.10 lakh acres of parched land. The reservoir also fills 400 lakes and check dams through the canals. People are keener on visiting the project to see it brimming with Godavari water.
Everyone should visit this place once. This place is situated 5 KMS from Siddipet. Do not forget to visit Konda Pochamma Reservoir after visiting Ranganayaka Sagar.

Ranganayaka Sagar Project Siddipet | Telangana Tourism | Trips near Hyderabad
Ranganayaka Sagar reservoir dam is 123 km from Hyderabad. The reservoir is located near Chandlapur village of Chinnakodur mandal of Siddipet district.
Since it's inauguration, the Ranganayaka Sagar project on the outskirts of Siddipet district, has already become a major tourist spot with lot of people visiting it daily. It's one of the best destinations for a bike ride around Hyderabad.
The reservoir has a storage capacity of 3 thousand million cubic feet of water and will provide irrigation to 1.10 lakh acres.
The Ranganayaka Sagar Siddipet, along with the Komuravelli Mallana and Konda Pochamamma reservoirs forms a ring of reservoirs and will provide irrigation to Siddipet and the combined Medak district as well as the drinking water to people.
The reservoir would receive water from Kaleshwaram project via the Mid Maneru project. From here, water would flow into the Komuravelli Mallana and then on into Konda Pochamma reservoirs.
The Ranganayaka Sagar level was built at 490 meters to seal level. It means the water is being lifted 93 meters as it travels from 20-km distance from Ananthagiri to Chandlapur. The water travels through 8.59 km tunnel while the rest of the distance, through gravity canals.
The 14 km-long black top road constructed along the project ayacut and butterfly lights is really ideal for a bike ride.
The reservoir’s island spans a length of 8.65 km and stands 32.4 metres tall at its highest point. It's six metres wide, at the ground level, it's 196 metres wide.
The Haritha resort on the top of the island is really good initiative by the Telangana Tourism department.
Note: the stay is not opened for tourists yet

Hi Friends, in today's video we will be taking you on a tour to a resort which is quite far from Hyderabad city, and the resort name is The hidden castle, for this resort you have to go from Shamirpet area and here is the beautiful shamirpet lake, from Shamirpet lake the hidden castle is about 60 kms away and on the ORR of Hyderabad Shamirpet comes on the exit number 7 and after going straight on the highway , we need to take a left and there is also a board which will show direction sign for hidden castle, we need to drive for 2 kilometers on this road, you can see trees on both sides of road and also there are lot of flower plantations here, with variety of colors and after around 2 kilometers on to this road, we need to take a right and here you can see a mud road on which we need to drive for around 500 meters and after 500 meters on this road, finally we get to see the entry gate , this muddy road is a bit bumpy so , please drive slowly here and here at the gate, your booking details are checked, you can either book a day tour package or stay package here, we have booked the stay package so and here we finally enter the Hidden castle, there is a stone road here to give you a feel of castle,and you can greenery across the pathway and now we are heading to the parking area and here is the parking area.
there is huge parking space and reception office is quite beautiful with castle furnishings, in reception area your booking information is checked and meal tokens are given to you which includes Lunch, evening snack, Dinner and next day breakfast and after this we need to walk a bit to reach the Castle, here we need to cross the bridge and here there is a small water body to give a fort like look, nice just see the size the castle doesn't the structure look like some European castle , I am very excited , so lets go in and check in to our room quick, here is huge space and here campfire and magicshow are performed at night, and here there is sculpture and in this room welcome drinks are provided once done with the drinks we can proceed towards our room, so let's go and check the room, it is quite dark here and if you see there are flags of Harry potter movies, we have booked the heritage room and it has quite a spooky feel ,taking you to age old times, door design is also a bit different and we have one queen size bed and a single bed and the ceiling is quite high and a fan with light lights can be controlled by dangling thread , AC , a wardrobe a dressing table center table with chairs and also a Dining table and chairs are provided a small fridge and friends inside the room you may not get the mobile network signal so keep that in mind and here we have a window to a lot of greenery and friends and here is Bath section , perfect very big bathroom with all the toileteries so friends that was the room tour and end of our first part of the Hidden castle video, we will explore this palace in next part of video and also show you the day tour activities,so byee bye for now
