Val-David, Quebec - That Hippie Village in the Mountains
Beautiful Val-David a small artsy village in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec. Artists of every discipline reside here, small shops sell hand crafted creations and the annual 1001 Pots Exhibit is one of North Americas finest. Restaurants abound and are a welcome respite after a bike ride along the Petit Train Du Nord bicycle trail... and did I mention the world class rock climbing.
Weekend and weekday events are held throughout the summer. Only an hour from Montreal and on the route to Mont Tremblant.

Alfred Kelly Nature Reserve - Ste-Agathe-des-Monts - Lac Supérieur | Exploring Quebec's Nature
From the Nature Conservancy Canada Website:
The reserve is of great interest for birdwatchers, who may spot 22 of Quebec's 27 raptor species here. The small lakes are also used by mallards and other waterfowl.
The property is home to moose, beaver and small animals such as porcupine, American mink, hare and common garter snake. It is also recognized for its rare red oak and white pine stand and its rich maple and linden stand.
On our road trip we hiked in the Alfred Kelley Nature Reserve, found a natural spring in the area and finished the day at the beautiful Supérieur Lake in Mont Temblant!

Offrez-vous un voyage souterrain unique avec Arbraska Laflèche dans la région de l’Outaouais. Située à Val-des-Monts, au nord de Gatineau, la caverne Laflèche possède près de 402 mètres de galeries sèches et de puits, dont un de 15 mètres de profondeur. C’est la plus grande grotte visitée du Bouclier canadien. Saviez-vous que c’est une simple chasse à l’ours qui a permis de découvrir cette caverne?

Hiking in the Mont-Morissette Regional Park // Best views in the Outaouais region (Quebec)?
In this week's episode, I went hiking in the Mont-Morissette Region Park in the town of Blue Sea (Quebec) situated in the Outaouais region. This park offers amazing views of the region and of the massif Blue Sea Lake. On the way back to Gatineau, we stopped in two towns to purchase delicious foods. All in all, this was another fantastic day of activities in the Outaoauis region.

Chaudière-Appalaches is a region bordered by the St. Lawrence River and is situated near the American border. With its 200 km of riverside roads, this region counts some of the oldest and richest history and legacy in the country. It also includes many lovely villages, many of which are considered to be the most beautiful in the province of Québec. The Chaudière-Appalaches region is named after the Chaudière River that meanders throughout the Beauce region before flowing into the St. Lawrence in Lévis. To the South of the region, bordering the state of Maine, are the rolling mountain tops of the Appalachians in the Thetford, Etchemins, Bellechasse, Lotbinière and Côte-du-Sud regions.
