Pfühlpark : The Huge Park of Heilbronn City Germany | City’s Tourist Spot
The Pfühlpark is a park in the east of the city of Heilbronn. It is 9.3 hectares and is located about 1.5 kilometers east of Heilbronn city center. With the green areas around the nearby Trappensee, it forms a 15 hectare green area.
The park extends over a length of about 600 meters along the Crailsheim – Heilbronn railway line, which borders the park in the south. The first stop on the Heilbronn urban railway branching off here is named after the Pfühlpark. In the north, the Schlizstraße forms the border between the park and the residential area, in the west the Pfühlpark is bordered by the Fasanenstraße, in the east by a sports area of TSG Heilbronn.
To the north-west of the Pfühlpark is the Pfühlbrunnen, an old spring that was remodeled in 1795 and supplemented by stone benches in 1858. In the adjacent area to the east on the Pfühlbach, the Heilbronn paper manufacturer Ernst Mayer (1850–1922) owned an estate with a zoo and a vineyard. Mayer sold the 361.6 ares large area on January 21, 1909 to the city for the very low price of 90,000 marks, combined with the requirement to create a public park here. #parks #germany #citytour #travelideas

About Oehringen: Öhringen is the largest town in Hohenlohe (district) in the state of Baden-Württemberg, in southwest Germany, near Heilbronn. Öhringen is on the railline to Schwäbisch Hall and Crailsheim. With a population of 22,745 (2009), the town is diverse. It is a quaint medieval place, and, among its ancient buildings, boasts a fine Evangelical church (German: Stiftskirche) containing carvings in cedar-wood from the 15th century and numerous interesting tombs and monuments; a Renaissance town hall; the building, now used as a library, which formerly belonged to a monastery, erected in 1034; and a palace, the former residence of the princes of Hohenlohe-Öhringen. Öhringen was known as Vicus Aurelii to the Romans. About Erlenbach: Weinsberg is a town in the north of the German state Baden-Württemberg. It was founded around 1200 and is situated in the Heilbronn district. The town has about 11,800 inhabitants. It is noted for its wine. Weinsberg lies in the eastern Heilbronn district in the northeast part of Baden-Wuerttemberg, between the Neckar in the west and the Löwenstein mountains in the east. The small river Sulm rises from the Löwenstein mountains and flows into the Neckar after approximately 20 km (12 mi). The valley formed of the Sulm and its tributaries is called Weinsberger Tal. The city mainly lies in and on the tendencies of the valley of the Stadtseebach (also called Saubach), a southern tributary of the Sulm. The Sulm flows by Weinsbergs area, but not by the city itself, and only a small northern part of the city lies at the edge of the Sulm valley. // Erlenbach is a municipality in the district of Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. Both Erlenbach and Binswangen are supposed to have been founded in 500 by the Franks and Alamanni, respectively. Erlenbach was first mentioned in the Codex Hirsaugiensis in 1130 as a gift to the Hirsau Abbey. The first record of Binswangen is in a charter on 8 November 1176 from Pope Alexander III.
