Ptuj castle 4K, ||Slovenia||

The castle was built in the mid-12th century when it was constructed to defend against the Hungarians. When the castle was built, the town of Ptuj was part of the Archdiocese of Salzburg.
It was owned by the Jesuits of Zagreb for some time. In 1656, due to financial hardship, the Jesuits sold the castle to the Holy Roman Field Marshal Walter Leslie, a Scot by birth. The castle was thoroughly rebuilt during the Baroque period. Due to the end of the Turkish invasions, the castle lost its defensive character. General Walter Leslie turned it into a rural residence and the seat of a landed estate. His descendants owned it until 1802. After their extinction, the estate was inherited by their relatives, the Dietrichsteins, but they became extinct in 1864 as well.

Travelling in Slovenia, Mura, Pomurska, Slovenia, Europe

The Mura Statistical Region is a statistical region in the north-east of Slovenia. It is predominantly agricultural with field crops representing over three quarters of the total utilised agricultural area, twice as much as the Slovene average. Climate and soil combined have made it the region with the highest crop production, but its geographical position and inferior infrastructure put it at a disadvantage and it is the region of Slovenia with the lowest GDP per capita (EUR 8,500) and the highest rate of registered unemployment. The region comprises the following municipalities: Apače, Beltinci, Cankova, Črenšovci, Dobrovnik, Gornja Radgona, Gornji Petrovci, Grad, Hodoš, Kobilje, Križevci, Kuzma, Lendava, Ljutomer, Moravske Toplice, Murska Sobota, Odranci, Puconci, Radenci, Razkrižje, Rogašovci, Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici, Šalovci, Tišina, Turnišče, Velika Polana and Veržej. The population in 2004 was 122,717. Employment structure: 41.2% services, 44.8% industry, 14.0% agriculture. M0/M7/M70/A5/A1/A2/A11 Budapest - Ljubljana - Villach

The second stage of the trip to southern Austria (Carinthia). This is the route from Budapest to the countryside of Villach, passing Ljubliana through Slovenia's mountains. Fabulous scenery, tunnels, viaducts, passing Balaton Lake, and some incidents on the road.
Entering Austria through the Karawanken tunnel, one of the longest in Europe. Unfortunately, we had a very busy road and had to stay around one hour to pass the tunnel.

BAZILIKA MARIJINEGA VNEBOVZETJA, SVETA GORA 23.11.2014 - AVTOR: STANISLAV VALENTINČIČ KEKEC

Gospod, naredi me za orodje svojega miru.
Kjer je sovraštvo, naj prinašam ljubezen.
Kjer je žalitev, naj prinašam odpuščanje.
Kjer je nesloga, naj prinašam edinost.
Kjer je dvom, naj prinašam vero.
Kjer je zmota, naj prinašam resnico.
Kjer je obup, naj prinašam upanje.
Kjer je žalost, naj prinašam veselje.
Kjer je tema, naj prinašam luč.
Kraljica miru – prosi za nas!
