Salina Turda Salt Mine (Hungarian: Tordai sóbánya) is a Transylvanian salt mine in the Durgău-Valea Sărată area of Turda, Romania. First mentioned in 1075, the Salina Turda salt mine helped make Turda into an economic powerhouse back in the days when salt was currency. The main mine was shut down in 1932, and has since been slowly converted into a tourist attraction. More recently, it has been converted into an amusement park.

This is our Romanian Travel Guide. In Romania, you can explore its beautiful Retezat National Park and Fagaras Mountains, drive the Transfagarasan road, go down to Salina Turda salt mines, and visit many beautiful castles such as Bran Castle also known as Dracula Castle, Corvin Castle, Peles Castle, and a castle made from Clay (Castelul de Lut Valea Zânelor). Also while in Romania you have to visit the capital city Bucharest which is often called little Paris. Bucharest has so many things to offer as well, you can go to amazing bookstores like Cărturești Carusel, grab coffee at charming cafes like Van Gogh Cafe, or stop by French Revolution to get the best eclairs and end the evening Closer To The Moon at Linea.

Orașul medieval Cluj a devenit în ultimii ani o destinație des vizitată de turiștii din întreaga lume datorită istoriei fermecătoare regăsită la fiecare pas, dar și a poveștilor fascinante din spatele clădirilor înalte. Mai jos am făcut un top obiective turistice Cluj pe care trebuie neapărat să le vizitezi o dată ajuns în oraș!
Orașul Cluj a fost prezentat drept “orașul comoară” de către istoricul clujean Kuckacs Jozsef în cartea sa, dar și “poarta” spre nordul Transilvaniei în partea a treia a seriei de documentare “Wild Carpathia” Ridicat la rangul de municipiu din timpul domniei împăratului Hadrian (117-138), numindu-se pe atunci Municipiul Aelium Hadrianum Napoca, apoi la rangul de colonie sub Marcus Aurelius și Commodus, orașul Cluj este atestat documentar încă de acum două milenii de către geograful grec Claudius Ptolomaeus.

Welcome to Transylvania! This part of Romania is absolutely packed full of amazing scenery and beautiful places to visit, in this video I will show you 3 mind blowing locations that will certainly make you want to travel to Romania!

We begin this video right on the southern borders of Transylvania, searching through the woods of Cozia National Park for the stunning waterfall known as Cascada Lotrișor.
After this, we headed north, spending a couple of days in the beautiful city of Sibiu, which is also known as 'the heart of Transylvania', before continuing north to one of our favourite locations we have seen in Romania... Cheile Turzii. The scale of this gorge is so impressive and the walk is incredibly fun!
We finish the video with one of the mist iconic and unique attractions in all Romania... Salina Turda (also known as Turda Salt Mine). This place is so unique and you'll have your jaw on the floor the entire way round.
