Wir haben Traunstein in diesem Herbst zum ersten mal besucht und waren sehr überrascht von der Lebendigkeit dieser Stadt, dem beeindruckenden architektonischen Stadtbild und auch der geschichtlichen Bedeutung bei der Salzgewinnung in Oberbayern.

Traunstein is a small town in Southern Germany. It's located near the Chiemsee lake and near Salzburg, the Austrian border. The town is known for its traditional city center with its colorful buildings. It's also the birthplace of the late pope Benedict XVI, which is advertised at large on the highway.
So, this place is really not all that famous, but it does have some charming elements and reminded me a bit of Rosenheim, which is located not all too far away from Traunstein. Furthermore, Berchtesgaden is near Traunstein, which is a city known for its Nazi past (eagle's nest) and for the Berchtesgaden National park.

Gmunden (German: [ˈɡmʊndən] (About this soundlisten)) is a town in Upper Austria, Austria in the district of Gmunden. It has 13,204 inhabitants (estimates 2016 [3]). It is much frequented as a health and summer resort, and has a variety of lake, brine, vegetable and pine-cone baths, a hydropathic establishment, inhalation chambers, whey cure, etc. It is also an important centre of the salt industry in Salzkammergut.

Driving Germany: B304 Wasserburg am Inn - Traunstein - 4K drive through the beautiful Upper Bavaria
The 4K driving video features a nice drive on the german national road B304, between the nice medieval towns of Wasserburg am Inn and Traunstein. The B304 is an alternative to the very congested A8 motorway between München and the austrian border. The drive is nice and relaxing, through a nice countryside, having the mountains in front of us for most of the time. Enjoy!

I am travelling to discover bavarian towns, i get off the train and i decided to get off in Traunstein.
This beautiful town in Germany at night is a magical and enchanting experience that immerses you in the town's rich history and charming ambiance.
As the sun sets over Traunstein, the town undergoes a mesmerizing transformation. The narrow, cobblestone streets, lined with picturesque Bavarian architecture, come alive with a warm, golden glow from the soft, amber-hued streetlights. The gentle murmur of the Alz River nearby adds to the tranquil atmosphere.
You'll find yourself meandering through the heart of the town's historic Old Town, passing by centuries-old buildings adorned with ivy and flower boxes. The scent of Bavarian cuisine wafts through the air, tempting you to indulge in some local delicacies.

MEDIA MARKT SAVED ME & I Arrived in Munich for OKTOBERFEST--Traunstein, Germany // 072
After a thirty minute walk from Traunstein to the local Media Markt (like Best Buy in Germany), I was able to find exactly the new laptop charger I needed! If you've been keeping up with the vlogs, you know my laptop charger has crapped out. Thankfully, Media Markt in Traunstein had everything I needed (and a lot more)!
Once in Munich, I found Melanie and Robin (you'll recognize them from my Madrid videos!) and enjoyed my first German sausage! Btw, it was delicious.
Since we're here in Munich for Oktoberfest, it was important we tried to find our dirndls! (Dirndls are traditional Bavarian female clothes, nearly mandatory for Oktoberfest.) If you're heading to Oktoberfest and are wondering where you can buy a dirndl, it turns out, you can get dirndls for 40 euros at the Munich train station!

Förchensee | Lake in Ruhpolding, Traunstein (Bayern/Bavaria)

Förchensee is a very clear and beautiful spring lake.
A ticket office for sport fishing and a boat rental are located at the northern end of the lake.
The hiking car park Seehaus is an ideal starting point for a nature experience for the whole family.
Alongside the crystal clear Förchensee, the route passes three other lakes. It is followed by Lake Lödensee, Lake Mittersee (there is a possibility to swim there) and Lake Weitsee.
