Bhutan Tourism Video | Places to Visit in Bhutan Vlog | Charm of Eastern Bhutan

In today’s Bhutan tourism video, we review places to visit in Bhutan, and vlog about the charm of Eastern Bhutan. The country of Bhutan is famous for beautiful monasteries and breathtaking landscapes. It's a Buddhist country on the eastern edge of the Himalayas and serves as a popular trekking destination. One of the most well-known destinations in Bhutan is the Paro Taktsang monastery, which is also called Tiger's Nest and sits on the cliffs overlooking the Paro Valley.

The best time for Bhutan travel and tourism is October to December when the air and sky are most fresh and clear. Bhutan is a bit cooler in January and February, but the climate is ideal through late spring. Bhutan is considered by many to be an excellent value for travel and tourism.

For many years, the culture was isolated from the rest of the world, but now, many travelers find that Bhutan is great to travel destination. In the past, Bhutan was one of the poorest countries in Asia, but now it has one of the world's fastest-growing economies. Bhutan is very safe, and the crime rate is very low. Both petty crime and violent crime are very rare and uncommon. Tourists who want to visit Bhutan are required to have a visa and must book their holiday through a Bhutanese tour operator. We would be happy to help you plan your next holiday to Bhutan!

#bhutan #yeegetaway #hotspring
Hidden Hotspring: Duenmang Tshachu, Zhemgang
I had heard of a hidden hotspring in Zhemgang.

It's on a cliff

????You have to walk for hours

????The path is steep and dangerous .

So off we went to this mysterious hotspring named Duenmang back in 2019. I had kept this video shelved so that it could be put together with an overall tourism video for Zhemgang district but then covid happened. So here it is finally, a sneak peek into a hidden destination that I still cant believe I had the good fortune of visiting????????

Trashiyangtse is a Destination that Visitors to Bhutan Will Never Forget

One of the newest dzongkhags (districts) in the country, Trashiyangtse was established as a distinct district in 1992 and spans 1,437 sq km of sub-tropical and alpine forests. With its wealth of natural, historical, and cultural resources Trashiyangtse is a destination that visitors to Bhutan will never forget.
Trashi Yangtse: Elevation 1750-1880m .
A 2-hour drive from Trashigang is Chorten Kora, modeled after the Boudhanath stupa in Nepal, where local people and Dakpa people from Arunachal Pradesh (India) gather in February/March for a festival to circumambulate the chorten. A similar festival in Gom Kora takes place 10 days later.
Bumdeling to the north is home to wintering black-necked cranes and to Ludlow's Bhutan Glory, the national butterfly of Bhutan. Important religious sites are found all over the Dzongkhag and include Pemaling in the alpine area; Rigsum Gonpa, Dechenphodrang ney, and Omba ney (the Taktshang of East Bhutan) between 2000 and 3000m, and Gongza ney and Gom Kora along the Drangme Chu (800-900m). Culture Trashiyangtse is an ethnically and culturally diverse district and the inhabitants include Yangtseps the region's indigenous dwellers, Tshanglas, Bramis from Tawang, Khengpas from Zhemgang, and Kurtoeps from Lhuentse.
This rich cultural tapestry has resulted in an interesting mix of languages and cultural practices in the region. The people of the region have developed incredible skills in woodworking and paper-making. The items they produce such as traditional wooden bowls are prized throughout the country. An Institute for 13 Arts and Crafts (Zorig Chusum) has been established in the region leading to a greater number of skilled artisans.

Bomdeling Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the north-western part of Bhutan and covers an area of 1,545 sq. km with 420 sq. It has one of the richest temperate Fir forests in the eastern Himalayas and provides an ideal protected habitat for big cats like Tigers and Leopards. The district is also home to a number of other rare animals including Barking Deer, Himalayan Black Bears, Red Pandas, and hundreds of Black Necked Cranes that migrate to the region every winter.

Thousands of people gathered in the courtyard of the dzong to witness the dzongkhag's biggest #festival.

The monks and the dzongkhag mask dancers performed various mask dances during the three-day #tshechu.

The tshechu has been held in the courtyard of the new #Trashiyangtse Dzong since 2014. Before that, the festival was held in Dongdey Dzong, which used to be the old Trashi Yangtse Dzong. The Tshechu was instituted by Trashi Yangtse Rabdey in 2000.
