Genbudo is the natural molding that lava flowed out from during a volcanic eruption about 1,600,000 years ago which formed hexagonal basalt pillars by the wave washing over it. A cave has formed because of people mining the rocks. The beauty of the hexagonal basalt pillars is one of the great mysteries of the world. It is also designated as a national natural monument.

Takeno is a quiet town on the coast in Hyogo prefecture, Japan. It's definitely off the beaten track! When I went, we were the only ones there and had the beach to ourselves. The video covers what there is to do in Takeno, including hiking trails along the Nekozaki peninsula, swimming, sea kayaking and cycling. It's a beautiful beach, with soft sand and extremely clear water. Takeno is only 10 minutes from Kinosaki Onsen, so you can get there very easily for a morning or afternoon if you're staying there at a ryokan for the hot spring baths. Kinosaki's really easy to get to on a direct train from Osaka or Kyoto - I'd definitely recommend it!

Izushi is a castle town in a mountain valley in northern Hyogo Prefecture. Visitors can see examples of an ancient townscape including the surviving samurai residences from the Edo Era and the townhouses constructed in the early 20th century. In addition to the Shinkoro Clock Tower built in 1871 at Yaguradai and the Eirakudan playhouse built in 1901, there are many other highlights such as the Izushi Karoh Yashiki which is the former residence of a high-ranking samurai.

Unlimited Onsen pass at Kinosaki Onsen - Japan Travel guide
I went to Kinosaki Onsen in the winter and enjoyed the ropeway and the many onsens that are available!
Kinosaki is a perfect daytrip from Osaka, and can probably easily be done as a day trip from Kyoto too! I do however always recommend staying the night if you can!
All the info is in the video, but make sure you get your day pass so that you can enjoy all the onsens this quaint japanese town has to offer.
