Along my journey to the sand dunes of Tottori prefecture, my first stop was one of the top three most famous views of the country. Now finally making it to the goal, it's time to explore the beautiful sand dunes of Tottori!
A Japanese inn with private hot spring, an Okinawa bar, beautiful sand dunes, a camel ride and an intricately carved sand museum are some of the sights we will see on this conclusion to the Journey to Tottori series!

Tottori Prefecture is a hidden gem of Japan and an off the beaten path place to visit but it's definitely one of my top 3 favourite prefectures in Japan!!! I can't wait to share with you what I did in Tottori Prefecture in 4 days and just how underrated this place is.... :(
You can get to Tottori easily via direct flights from Tokyo(Haneda or Narita Airport), direct buses depart from all over Japan's major cities and of course you can take the limited express train (Super Hakuta) from many areas such as Kyoto and Osaka.

Tottori prefecture offers an unforgettable gastronomic experience at a much cheaper rate.

I take a winter day trip from Osaka (Universal Studios Japan) to the Tottori Sand Dunes in January using the Kansai WIDE Area Excursion Pass (3-day pass).
