☀️???????? TONGEREN: La ciudad más antigua de Bélgica
Tongeren se ubica al sur de la provincia Flamenca de Limburgo y según documentos oficiales es la ciudad más antigua de Bélgica. En particular, la zona ya se encontraba habitada por un grupo de tribus belgas al momento de la conquista por el ejercito romano. Posteriormente, en el siglo XVII la ciudad fue incendiada casi en su totalidad por las tropas de Luis XIV, una catástrofe de la que nunca se recuperó completamente. Hoy en día y como resultado de todo lo acontecido en su pasado, Tongeren disfruta de una gran herencia histórica que vamos a mostrarles a lo largo de este video.
En este video vamos a mostrarles la Basílica de Tongeren, sus puertas (Puerta de Moeren) y murallas, su beguinage, que es patrimonio de la UNESCO y finalmente vamos a salir de paseo en bicicleta para visitar el Castillo de Alden Biesen, un castillo que data del siglo XVI y que está ubicado en el pequeño pueblo de Rijkhoven, en el municipio de Bilzen.

Tongeren
Tongeren is a city and municipality located, in the southeastern corner of the Flemish region of Belgium. Tongeren is the oldest town in Belgium, as the only Roman administrative capital within the country's borders. As a Roman city, it was inhabited by the Tungri, and known as Atuatuca Tungrorum, it was the administrative centre of the Civitas Tungrorum district.
Tongeren is a city in Belgium, near the Dutch border. A modern building houses its Gallo-Roman Museum. Inside are displays of weapons, pots and jewelry ranging from prehistory to Roman times, when the city was a major trading hub. In the main square is the 19th-century statue of Ambiorix, a local king who defeated the invading Romans in 54 B.C. The remains of the medieval walls surround the city center.

The Vikings in Tongeren, Belgium - Die Wikinger in Tongern
The Vikings in Tongeren, the oldest city in Belgium, founded 15 BC. The local hero is Ambiorix. He once defeated the Romans and served as a model for the famous comic hero Asterix.
The Viking Festival took place 2015 during the Viking Special Exhibition in the Gallo Roman Museum. Over 500 came from all over Europe just for a weekend. They came as musicians, traders, craftsmen or warriors. They fought in groups or alone.
It was a great experience for the whole family despite the heavy rain.

Die Wikinger in Tongeren, der ältesten Stadt Belgiens, gegründeten 15 vor Christus. Der Lokalheld ist Ambiorix. Er hat einmal die Römer vernichtend geschlagen und diente dem Comic-Helden Asterix bisschen als Vorbild.
Das Wikingerfest fand 2015 während der Wikinger-Sonderausstellung im Gallo Romanischen Museum statt. Über 500 Wikinger kamen nur für ein Wochenende aus ganz Europa. Sie kamen als Musiker, Händler, Handwerker oder Krieger. Sie kämpften in Gruppen oder alleine.
Es war ein tolles Erlebnis für die ganze Familie trotz starkem Regen.

Mijlpaalroute (Tongeren)
De Mijlpaalroute leidt je door de geschiedenis en het rijke erfgoed van de stad Tongeren. De route bestaat uit 3 wandelingen die op elkaar aansluiten: rood, blauw en groen. Zo kan je het historisch stadscentrum verkennen, de stadsrand en zelfs aansluiten op de erfgoedwandeling ‘Verborgen Moois Beukenberg’ van het Regionaal Landschap Haspengouw en Voeren.
