I based myself near Higashi Hagi station and explored the old castle ruins, Daishoin temple, Aibagawa waterway, Tokoji temple and Shoin shrine.
It took a while getting to grips with getting around the city by public transport but was able to enjoy some of the most epic and beautiful Japanese temples and shrines I've ever seen.
Best of all there were very few people in these incredible Japanese tourist spots and japanese shrines.
If you like japanese temples then hagi japan will be quite a surprise!

10 days ALL AROUND JAPAN (history buff version)
In this video, you will see how I use JR pass to go around Japan from the north (Hokkaido), all the way down to the south (Kagoshima). I'm a Japanese history mania so I visited lots of historical spots as well! Let me know what places you like the most, or where you would like to see me visiting next time!
Regarding the business trip part, I've been volunteering with this Japanese NGO called ASHA for more than half a year and recently they invited me to host a Design Thinking workshop (the one you saw in the video), plus one of their Japan company partners is also asking if I'm open to contract work, so that's why I went to Japan during this time, but tbh I've been planning for this trip for a very loooooooong time!!

徳山湖(徳山ダム)について
徳山ダム（とくやまダム）は岐阜県揖斐郡揖斐川町、
一級河川・木曽川水系揖斐川最上流部に建設された
岩や土を盛り立てて造られた「ロックフィル型式」のダムで、
日本最大級のダムであり、総貯水量は日本一の約6億6000万立法メートル。
なんと浜名湖の約2倍あります！
完成により奥只見ダムを抜いて日本一の容量のダムになりました。
その他、堤高は第３位、堤体積は第２位の巨大ダム。
ダム堤頂の長さは新幹線「のぞみ号」の16車両（400メートル）
を超える427メートルです。
水害常襲地帯である揖斐川の治水および東海3県の水がめとして建設されました。
ダム建設に伴い徳山村全村が水没し、
その後はダムの必要性について全国的な論争が起きるなど話題も多いダムです。
ダムによって形成された人造湖は、
旧徳山村村民からの意見により旧村名から徳山湖と命名されました。
展望台に上がってみると、ダムの全景を見ることができ、
高さ161メートルあるダムは壮大なスケールで圧倒されます。
ゴールデンウィークには、徳山ダム観光放流が行われます。
ダムにより上流は、人間の営みが全くないため、
ダムがが作り出した人口湖「徳山湖」は、
澄んだ水をたたえた美しい湖として有名です。
また、四季を通じて風光明美な自然を満喫できる新たな観光スポットとして、
訪れる人々の心を癒しています。

About Lake Tokuyama (Tokuyama Dam)
Tokuyama Dam is located in Ibigawa Town, Ibi District, Gifu Prefecture.
It was built in the uppermost part of the Ibi River, a first-class river, Kiso River system.
A rockfill type dam built by heaping rocks and soil.
It is one of the largest dams in Japan and has the largest total water storage capacity of about 660 million cubic meters in Japan.
It's about twice as large as Lake Hamana!
Upon completion, it overtook the Okutadami Dam to become the largest dam in Japan.
In addition, it is a huge dam with the third highest bank height and the second highest bank volume.
The length of the dam top is 16 vehicles (400 meters) of the Shinkansen Nozomi
It is over 427 meters.
It was constructed as a hydraulic control for the Ibigawa River, which is a flood-prone area, and as a water tank for the three Tokai prefectures.
