Thibodaux is a city in, and the parish seat of, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, United States, along the banks of Bayou Lafourche in the northwestern part of the parish. The population was 15,948 at the 2020 census. Thibodaux is a principal city of the Houma–Bayou Cane–Thibodaux metropolitan statistical area.

LOUISIANA PLANTATIONS TOUR and VLOG
In this vlog, we venture one hour from the French Quarter to visit the Louisiana plantations, located along the Mississippi River. The first stop is the Whitney Plantation where we hear the harrowing story from the slaves perspective. Then we visit Oak Alley Plantation and hear the story from the plantation owner's perspective.
This is a story of wealth, grandeur, and tragedy that lead up to the Civil War in the US. The Whitney Plantation gives a voice to the slaves who worked to build the backbone of the US industry. Here, over 100 slaves worked in the production of sugar. We learn about their daily lives, view the slaves quarters, the salve jail, and learn about the horrors of the slave trade.
At the Oak Alley Plantation, we hear about the Creole family that owned the plantation and what their life was like during the Antebellum era.
It is a story we will never forget.
